 Does not suction well Oct 19, 2009

Within 5 seconds of placing this plate in front of my 1 y.o., she detached it from her highchair tray, even though I moistened the suction per instructions. Another problem with it is that the suction portion is not attached to the plate, so it can also be easily removed. The warming feature is nice, but can not fully drain heating water through small fill hole and worry that mold may grow inside.

Just as a rebuttal to other reviews: the plate does stick well to the surface, but you have to flip the suction ring first, so that the wide side sits on the table surface. For some reason it arrives with the detachable ring attached upside down (perhaps for easier packing?). Otherwise it looks cute and holds heat well.

After 37 years we have a baby in the family again. Needless to say I began looking for items that are familiar from the past (whatever happened to TV booties, by the way??), and among those was a warming plate. I was delighted to discover this Green Sprouts plate, and my granddaughter is happy with food that stays warm to the end.
I use distilled water to fill the reservoir to avoid mineral deposits, and find this dish easy to clean and drain.

Hi
I am a grandmother and I watch two of my grandchildren daily.
I had a warming dish for my 13 year old grand-daughter and also for my own five children. So when I started watching my newest grandchild I wanted this dish for her food.
I looked everywhere. None of the local stores had what I wanted. Most had no idea what I was looking for. Finally... I went to my AMAZON and of course there it was.
Thank you for selling products that I and many others have used for more than 50 years. I will always check Amazon first from now on.
