best gift ever! Jun 02, 2010

I'm a first time mom, and I got this as a shower gift from another first time mom who received one as a gift and loved it so much she bought me one. I LOVE IT! It is bigger than those cheapo flannel receiving blankets you get at babies r us and therefore is easier to keep the baby swaddled tightly. My baby is quite wiggly and could easily escape the smaller blankets and got all tangled up. The larger blanket made it easier to swaddle her tightly.
I also use it as a lightweight crib blanket because it is large enough to tuck tightly around the crib mattress (again, most swaddling blankets are too small to do this, and they end up coming undone and posing a suffocation hazard to baby). I use this for everything. I used it in the first months as a swaddle and cover for when I breastfed. It is so breathable that I can cover the baby eating without worry that she'll won't be able to breathe freely while nursing. I also use it to cover our black car seat when it is hot out to keep it cool. I use it in the stroller as a blanket and even as a tummy time blanket. It is very lightweight so it folds up nicely to put in a diaper bag. However, because it is so lightweight it doesn't work very well as a blanket to lay on the lawn (although, I still use it for that to). I have been using this blanket for seven months straight and washing/drying it at least once/week and it has held up very well - and just like they say, it gets softer and softer.
I would definitely recommend to any moms out there. I also appreciated that my friend bought the organic version which, price wise, is a bit of a luxury for us :)

beautiful baby wrap Jun 26, 2009

I purchased a few different brands of wraps for my granddaughter to be and this is by far the nicest of them all. It is large and so soft. I can't wait for my daughter and son in law to use it.
Awesome blanket May 24, 2012
By Marley's Mama This swaddle is awesome! Love how large it is! Our baby out grew the miracle blanket but was still needing to be swaddled and this blanket was perfect for her transition to no swaddle. I love this blanket so much I am buying it for all of my expecting friends!! Great quality and very breathable.
Love it....so soft! Jan 28, 2012
By Texaz95 I knew when my little one got here that I would use the aden + anais swaddle blankets. I added them to the baby registry and anxiously waited to get them. I got 2 blankets from a friend who didn't use them with her daughter and another blanket from the company where I ordered our crib (how fabulous is that?) Once our little girl arrived, I felt the need for one more blanket and found this organic muslim one at Amazone. What a dream! The softness is wonderful and the weight of the fabric is just perfect. I love the size for swaddling because the blanket can grow with your baby. Most of the receiving blankets out there are too small. Just skip the other kind and go for aden + anais. Read the reviews and you will see many others agree. I promise you that you will not regret it!!
BRILLIANT SWADDLE Mar 21, 2011
By djauniversal I had already bought the organic Oasis swaddle off the aiden & anais website for $25 plus shipping. As soon as it arrived I loved it and realized i wanted another, but honestly didn't like the design/pattern/color schemes of the multi-packs so was willing to spend more on another organic just to have a more muted/sophisticated pattern. this Star Gazer one is the best deal ever & its not even on the website (?) but its the real deal! i LOVE the pattern and the price can't be beat -- especially with free shipping -- its a steal. i love these swaddles as our daughter was long at one month old and fussed everytime we swaddled her w regular swaddle blankets and absolutely hated the summer infant velcro one we got .. she would wake herself breaking out of it! i think she was too hot as when we swaddled her with this one she was perfect .. she even had mobility but was snug. now, at 2 & 1/2 months we only swaddle her legs and mostly for warmth. i find these swaddles to be the best deal because i use them in so many ways when out -- as a sun shield on the stroller canopy, as a burp cloth, a casual nursing cover, and a scarf/ throw for me -- especially when i have her in the carrier... i can cover her easily with breathable fabric that doesn't scream "cheesy baby design". i know i will use this for many many years in many many ways.
