Took a Chance, Glad I Did Sep 07, 2011

This product had few reviews I could find, so I took a chance and I'm very glad I did. No chemical smell at all, fits my DaVinci Emily crib perfectly, and my twins are sleeping better, I swear! I had actually purchased cheap non-organic coil mattresses when they were born, and the mattresses wore through quickly. So I bought this mattress to use on the "toddler" side, and they are lovely. Just purchase an organic waterproof cover ASAP. :)
Because I did not purchase this for an infant, I can't really comment on the infant side, except tp say that I'm SOOO bummed I didn't start with this mattress. The infant side feels firm - like there's a board of sorts underneath the mattress - but it is covered with the same fabric that the toddler side is covered in, and seem like it would be perfectly safe and lovely for a newborn-infant.
Finally, I had no idea about whether foam would be better than coil or vice versa, because I have only ever had coil mattresses, but the foam is great. Less jumping, and it seems so comfortable. The kids really love their cozy cribs! (I don't know if it's a coincidence, but my daughter is now asking for her crib, and that never used to happen!)
The price point is great, too. Very. very pleased.

I am very pleased with this mattress, it looks comfortable and I like the fact that is organic. It doesn't have fabric smell like other organic mattress. I find the price to be reasonable compared with other companies.
Pros: organic,affordable price, well made materials, comfortable.
Cons: It has a small space in measurement lengthwise (about 1 ½ inch) in standard size crib.You have to buy mattress protector for spills or other accidents.

I wanted to purchase a cotton-covered mattress and this one fit the bill! Not only is it quite affordable, it's double sided for infants and toddlers (although my 8 month old is more happy on the slightly softer toddler side), had no odor out of the box, fit my crib PERFECTLY, has a 10 year warranty, and I'm thrilled knowing there are no harmful chemicals & phthalates, and I sense no repulsive off-gassing. It's comforting knowing he's not breathing any of these things in. Looking forward to raising all my kids on this mattress!

The construction of this mattress is very good with a soft cover and tough stitching. I originally wanted a wool mattress for my baby's crib, but the price was just too much. I was so pleased to find this mattress that is organic and not treated with chemicals. The bonus is that it has a toddler side as well, so when we are ready to convert the crib we can simply flip the mattress over and not have to do another exhaustive search for the right mattress. I did a TON of research when looking for a crib mattress and found this one to be exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price.
