Great for the older kid! Oct 03, 2009
By Maria This is the best! The piggyback has been a huge hit at our house with my almost 5 year old. We use it all the time. It was easy to install, although I was concerned about the brake lines as another reviewer stated that the piggy back interfered with her brake. The instruction don't really point out what to do. So I put the clips over the brake lines and we haven't had any brake issues.
One thing to remember is that, yes, the piggyback does make the stroller more cumbersome. In our case a 44" tall and 42 pound child is now riding on a board attached to the stroller, so yes a bit more pushing is involved. I also have to shorten my stride when the board is in use. That said I can still push the stroller, with both kids in it, one-handed.
The board is definitely worth it.

Must have for older kids! Great customer service too! Apr 08, 2011
By lizgrace07 This is so easy to attach to the stroller, it just takes seconds. Once it's on, it stays on. I love that you can just fold it up out of the way when not in use. Also, I broke mine after just a couple weeks of use and I was so happy to discover that UppaBaby would replace it for me right away. Big thumbs up for UppaBaby customer service! By the way, so you don't make the same mistake I did, here's how I broke it: I was backing the stroller off of a bus which required a step down by about a foot or so from the bus to the ground. I did not fold the piggy back up. As I was going down the step it dropped under the stroller (which it will do) and then not realizing that it was under the stroller, I set the stroller down (which was fully loaded with a kid and bag) and the plastic part where it attached to the stroller snapped. So learn from my mistake and put the piggy back up if you will be backing down a step! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that my stride does occasionally catch the board when I am walking briskly (I am 5' 10") and my husband always kicks it (he is 6' 1"). However, the vista is so easy to steer, even with a kid on the piggy back that you can just step slightly to the side if you have to to push and it's just a s easy. It actually hasn't been annoying.

my toddler likes it! Oct 06, 2011
By hunny mommy it is well made and rolls well on very smooth surface. but it is quite sensitive to any bumps and irregularities on the road surface and it makes rattle noise on our asphalt street. I like the fact that it is made of wood and easy to snap on and off. two things that not so great... one is that it is hard to use the footbreak while this is on... and another is that it is very tricky to fold the stroller with this on it. it is possible, but need lots of wiggling and shifting things around... so i now just take it off everytime i fold it... i wish it would fold easily and neatly with this on. but most important thing is that my toddler really likes riding it and watching the baby face to face! so i recommend it!

Must have for the Uppa Baby Mar 12, 2010

My 5 year old loves this and so do I. He can hop on whenever he pleases and I can keep him close when needed. It was fairly easy to install (I have 2009 model) and the stroller is just as smooth to steer/control with my 40 lb 5 year old on the board. The board does get in my way with my longish stride, however, I am 5'8". If you have an older child and this stroller, this is a MUST HAVE.

Great way for my 5 year old to keep up with me Aug 25, 2009
By R. Lake I have been using the Piggy Back for a few months now, and absolutely love it! My baby is now 7 months old and loves to stare at my 5 year old daughter while we walk around the neighborhood together. She is a bit tall and weighs at least 45 pounds, but we get on just fine. The only problem is that if you have long legs, you will kick the board. It helps to extend the handlebar but nonetheless, it will get in the way of long strides.
Installation wasn't too bad and the stroller is still manageable to fold up with the Piggy Back.
Overall, I am very happy with my Uppa Baby stroller.
