4Great children's toy  Aug 11, 2007
By Sean's Mom "zibbit"
My son absolutely loves his new Trunki!! He rides on it, packs toys in it, and uses it a a "pressent". I think that it will be good to carry his things on the plane, especially since he can be pulled through the airport on it. However, it is not much in the way of luggage. There is absolutely no way to organize anything and I expect to have a complete jumble of toys, food, and books once we get on the plane. Also, the "sweets compartment" is a joke since only it has only room for a few jelly beans. I think that it has functionality, but a mesh compartment or two would take this to five stars.

5If you travel GET THIS!  Jan 22, 2008
By A. Gregorio "SpiderWomanKnits"
We just bought this for our first big family trip on an airplane and I was anxious about all the waiting involved in traveling with small children (5yrs old and 6 months) Well, my 5 year old LOVES his Trunki! Right out of the box he was riding it everywhere and the way it is designed keeps it from tipping over or flipping forward which was something I was concerned about before I ordered.

At the airport he chose to either ride on it, have us pull it, or pull it himself. All options are easy. The case itself is lightweight and in retrospect we didn't even have to put any toys in it! He played with the Trunki itself the whole trip and is STILL riding it at home weeks later. The Trunki stows away easily under the plane seat. When we were waiting in the airport for our flight to leave other children gravitated to the Trunki and wanted to take turns riding on it. Kids just LOVE this thing. The whole journey became and adventure for my son! Really I couldn't recommend this product enough if you travel with kids.

There are only two design issues with the Trunki that I want to note. The first is you can forget about the "secret compartment". It is SO tiny you really can't fit anything in there. I am not really sure what the point of it is. The second issue is that when you are pulling your child it would be helpful if there were foot rests or something for them to put their feet on because although the weight limit is 110lbs and it is made well, it is short and a child's feet certainly drag. It's really not a big deal though. Any way that your child uses the Trunki keeps them going.

This thing is awesome and is A MUST for any family that flies!

5MY SON LOVES TRUNKI !!!!  Nov 02, 2007
By Dylon's mom
I bought this for my 22 month old son. He is tall for his age and very active. We have been going back and forth to the mainland and he gets very bored waiting in the terminal to board the plane. I saw this and bought it. He has not stopped rolling around on it since it came. He LOVES his trunki. I know he will be playing with it for years. Although it does say for ages 3 years and up, it may depend on your child. As I said, my son is only 22 months but he can balance himself on it and push himself around without tipping. Also, this price is comparable to other site, however, watch this site for free shipping offers and that makes it all worth it. Especially when it is being shipped to Hawaii. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

5An airport savior for the parents  May 02, 2008
By M. T. Lynch
I came across this product doing some research for travel aids for a trip to New Orleans to visit relatives. They had not met our 3-year old and we wanted the smoothest air travel experience possible. I studied the information on the web sites and this looked different but a great idea. My high expectations were surpassed by the level of interest and fun our son had with his Trunki. He loved playing with it before our trip, but it's real value surfaced when we were at the airport. After checking in our luggage (unlike another reviewer I would NEVER check a trunki, it's at that point that it really shines!) our son hopped on and we pulled the trunki through the airport. He LOVED it and so did the envious toddlers and parents we passed along the way. It really made our lives (the parent's) easier and he loved the riding. He also had something to sit on at the gate. It fit nicely under the seat in front of him and since it is carry-on luggage, we put his things in it. This thing really saved us when we grabbed lunch at an airport restaurant next to our departing gate only to find out, after lunch, that our flight had a gate change. We had to rush to a gate at another part of the airport. I would have had to carry him all the way and been exhausted and sweaty from running or we would have missed the flight. I put him on the trunki and we were on our way. He loved the ride (i.e. very cooperative) as he "zipped" through the airport. The trunki more than paid for itself with that experience alone. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

5Great idea!  Feb 22, 2008
By L. Page
I bought this for our 4 year old son to take on our vacation this Spring. He loved it right out of the box! At least once a week, he is hauling it down the stairs and filling it with books and toys. He loves to zoom around the house on his new "toy"!

The only thing about Trunki that I can suggest would be to make the secret compartments inside easier to open. As it is, I have to use my fingernail to pry them open.
