Great sturdy bed Jan 09, 2007
By Earth Mom I have to admit I did not put it together, (a friend did that) but once done it was great for my two (now) three year old. It is a sturdy enough to take his constant flipping over the foot board and I love to store his things in the trundle.
Its a bed that you will also have no trouble passing on to the next child or selling to someone one as it is a very expensive looking bed that cost me practically nothing

Great bed - excellent value Jan 02, 2008
By A. Carvallo I got this bed for my little son. Bed arrived on time wih all parts. Instructions are not difficult, but you will need a second person to put it together. Overall it took me about an hour. Quality of the bed is good. Some parts are solid wood, some are particle board, however for the price is great. Standard toddler mattress fitted without problems and my little kid likes the bed. So far so good.

BIG BOY BED Nov 25, 2007

"Proud Grandma"
Todays Tot Austin Toddler Bed Finish: OakMy Grandson is only 13 mos. old but won't sleep in the porta-crib at Grandma & Grandpa's so we redid his room in a BIG BOY Safari Theme and the bed was relatively easy to assemble and my Grandson can in and out of the bed on his own. A perfect choice at a perfect price.

best bed money can buy! Nov 17, 2007
By Lacy Taylor My toddler has been sleeping in this bed for 2 months now and she loves it! I love the color and it was easy to assemble, the drawer is great! It's also very sturdy! (I had to sleep a few nights in it with her!) Great buy, wonderful color, and I'm sure it'll last me through a few more kids!

Excellent Value and Classy Look May 16, 2009
By J. Rowberg This bed was shipped and arrived very fast. The product was fairly easy to assemble (with 3 people). The bed has a 50-pound weight limit which is based on the slats that support the mattress. They are made of 5/8-inch plywood. At the top, middle, and bottom, there are 3-inch wide slats, and every six inches in between are 1-inch wide slats (about 10).
These slats are not designed to accomodate an adult's butt, which is how I broke two within the first week. However, I used a 1x6 board in place of the broken slats under the bottom section of the bed (where there are no rails). It is now rock solid and I can sit with my baby son Joshua as he gets ready to go to sleep.
Joshua loves his "big boy bed" and after the first few nights, he got the new bedtime drill down. It's quite low to the ground so he can get in and out of it safely. All in all, I'm very happy with it, though I definitely recommend adding additional support at the lower end so you can sit on the bed with the kid.
