I received this as a gift for our daughter's baby shower. She loved it so much I bought one for my niece's new baby boy. From one month until she outgrew it (about 9 months) she played with this every day. At first, just looking in the mirror and at the animals. Eventually, pulling the animals and kicking to make the lights and music come on. Stood up to many, many hours of play and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

I just bought this product Aug. 2011. thought it would be great for my four month old daughter. However, it is somewhat disappointing:
1. the long polyester fibers come right through the pillow case making it dangerous for my daughter because she likes to grab things to put into her mouth and lick the surface.
2. there are three different settings for the music and light stuff. but the setting 3 (music and light) doesn't work.
3. the base is somewhat thin. I put it on carpet and had to put two area rugs beneath it.
my daughter did show her interest in the hanging dangling animals. I was hesitant whether I should return it. But I've already opened the package. So, decided not to deal with the hassle. the the number of the positive reviews on Amazon is misleading because Tiny Love sells two kinds of gyms but they grouped all the reviews for both kinds together. So it makes you feel that so many people liked this product.

My baby is 3.5 months and like the mat and toys. At the beginning she loved starring the hippo and talking to it. She likes the music and today she spent time studding the colorful striped arch.
I decided on 4 starts because I think that the mirror is could be bigger and also the fabric that the little pillow is made of is terrible! I don't like touching it and sure don't think my baby's gentle face skin on it.

I bought this activity mat for my 3 month old son. He really enjoys playing with the hanging toys. The colors in it are very bright and capture my sons attention. I mainly purchased this specific activity gym because of the kick and light up feature. At first it would light up and play music every time he would kick it and after just a month it is no longer working so well. So that was very disappointing because he really enjoys the lights and music when ever it does work. I rated it a three because the kicking feature does not work properly, it is a nice activity mat but i could have purchased a different one without the kicking feature for half the price.

Compared to other play gyms that I have seen, this gym is definitely one of the better ones on the market (although mine arrived broken, MUSIC & LIGHTS option does not work but too lazy to return). The colors and the designs are very pleasing to the eye. However, the main attraction here is the kick and discover pad. My son LOVES the kick pad. I mean he REALLY LOVES it. If your child is as energetic as mine, get this or something similar with a kick pad. The only downside now is that he kicks everything and everyone, but we'll work that out later.
