Kickin Coaster Soarin! May 07, 2010
By Abigail Kennedy Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3H93CDMZTZKPG My son LOVES the kickin coaster... he's been active in it since about 8 weeks old. It's a toy at Grandma's house, but we might just have to get another for our own house!

One of the best items ever made! May 26, 2009
By fstop27 We bought this item for our daughter when she was 2 1/2 months old. We noticed that when you held her upright, she would kick her legs alot and seemed like she wanted to jump. We saw this item in a baby magazine, and at the time, $70.00 seemed like a lot. Let me tell you, it was more than worth the money. First, the fact that it has 3 music settings is great. 1-upbeat music, 2-slow, sleepy music, 3-music when the kick function is activated. It also has 2 levels of vibration mode, if your child begins to fall asleep. It also has a lock feature, if you want the child to remain stationary for whatever reason. I agree with some other reviewers, that the coaster is a little "short" for smaller babies. My daughter was about 20 inches, and had a hard time reaching the kicking surface. Not a problem, we just put a thick book against it, and in no time, she was kicking away. And let me say, she LOVES it. She will sometimes stay in it for 45 minutes at a time (which is a lot for a baby), and has fallen asleep more times than I can count. Additionally, it has seemed to strengthen and train her leg muscles, that now at 6 months old, she is just about standing completely on her own, and it making progress towards trying to walk. Not to mention, that it is very durable. Lets just say it has survived my 4 year old "Captain Destructo". It also comes with a foot shaped rattle/teether toy that is one of her favorites. The cover comes off very easily to wash, which we have done twice now. Overall, it is one of the most recommended items on my list, and I think is a great exerciser for your baby.

Kick, kick, kick. Jan 22, 2009
We bought this for our 7 week old baby boy. He was quite the kicker in utero and when I saw this item in a magazine I knew it would be perfect for him. Our baby is pretty long for his age, 24" and he does have trouble reaching the kicking surface. We put a small flat box in front of the kicking surface and our baby just goes crazy. We tell him "Kick, kick, kick" and he does. He is so pleased with himself when the seat goes flying back (exaggerating, it's very gentle.) I like the seat because I can put it on our kitchen island while I am cooking dinner and the baby is amused. He's too small to really play with toys with his hands so this is great. I noticed in the 2 weeks that we have owned it the baby always wants to stand on my legs when I hold him. He doesn't want to bend at the waist and sit. He gets such joy out of using his legs! We purchased it at Baby Depot.

Fun exercise for your infant Oct 27, 2008
By P. Litton Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2A31SE3X6MAIZ Your baby can eat, sleep and play in this innovative "bouncer". What's most unique is that baby can "exercise" in this. The seat sits on a lockable track that slides on an incline. Baby can push off with his feet, allowing him to slide up and back. The foot platform responds to the kick with lights and sounds (that can be turned off). It also vibrates for nap time. Here's a video testamonial produced by the manufacturer.

MUST HAVE for a Fussy/Gassy Baby! Nov 08, 2011
By KawaiiShop Is your newborn or infant really gassy? My little man totally was/is (he gets it from his dad for sure!!) When he was really little, he was soooooooo gassy and it just pained me to see him cry every morning trying to take a poop. I tried EVERYTHING and doing the bicycle legs and massaging his tummy seemed to work a little, but really his only option was to cry it out which just broke my heart. Then when he was 6 weeks old I saw the The First Years 3-in-1 Kickin Coaster Seat on Amazon.
It looked like a fun strength building/interactive toy - but what I really liked was it's ANGLE. The baby lies in it in a semi-upright position and pushes with his legs. This seemed like the perfect solution for working out his gas issues.
Holy smokes - I have to say this is by far THE BEST baby item I have bought so far. My son is now 6 months old and I can't imagine life without this thing. When I first got it when he was 6 weeks old, he was a little small for it, but we just loosened up the belt so he sat really really low and his toes could reach the bounce pad. He took to it immediately and although he couldn't really move it, he really enjoyed just sitting in it and looking at the light and sound show. But the most important part is that just like I had hoped, IT HELPS HIM POOP!!! I swear by this thing guys - it really helps him work out his gassiness.
When he was little, he would cry and fuss in pain every morning. So I started putting him in the coaster (we actually call it the Poopmaster 2000). He would happily start jumping away and really enjoyed the lights and sounds. Within 5 minutes, he worked out his morning poop - with NO CRYING. Now, it's part of our every day ritual. He wakes up in the morning, we change his diaper (because I KNOW he's going to poop soon) and he sits in the Poopmaster. He giggles and plays and jumps and within 5 minutes has pooped without a second thought.
I once forgot to bring it with us on a weekend trip and I was so hating myself for it!
The angle allows for little babies that can't hold up their head to still play and it is perfect for gravity to help with the poop situation. The jumping is better than bicycling his legs in the air or massage. The seat also vibrates - which is very soothing for naptime.
I think the seat is a little pricey at $60 - but believe me, after using it I would pay 3 times that much for this thing. The max weight is 25lbs so this will be one of those baby items that you can actually use for several months!!
