I like that they are organic, but sort of poor quality Jan 07, 2011
By JenV I like the Tadpole company and like that they make organic products which I was in search of for my newborn. I bought these in several color patterns because they were organic. Regular priced they are way overpriced, so wait for them to go on sale. The quality of them is just not worth paying full price since they do not hold up well under repeated washing, even on delicate washer/dryer cycles with gentle baby detergents. I also am not impressed with the size, they are great for using around baby, especially in the car seat etc, but are way too small and odd shaped to try to swaddle a baby with. They are also not as soft as I would have hoped. I think Tadpoles can do better!
Just okay Sep 27, 2011
By Alison I do like these blankets as all purpose burp cloths and rags, but I gave them a low rating for the following reasons. First, the blankets smelled a bit chemically when we received them. That did wash out. Second, after just a few washings they were no longer soft. Finally, we were never really able to use them to swaddle. Our son was born at average length and weight, but these were just not long enough to cover him.
Too small and become frayed easily Mar 25, 2011

These are ok.. I love that they are organic.. but they are a little too small for use as much other than a spit up blanket.. Also when you wash them they become frayed easily at the ends as other reviewers have mentioned.
Quality blankets Dec 30, 2010

Very soft, big enough to swaddle a newborn. Thicker and softer than the standard receiving blankets out there. My only complaint is that the edges tend to wrinkle in the wash, and I am not really up for ironing baby blankets.

Thin Fabric & Edges Serged Poorly Oct 18, 2010
By Crimsoncascade I love that the color of these and that they are organic. I simply wish the flannel used to make these was a better quality. It is thin fabric that does not stretch, and would not be good for swaddling because of the lack of stretch. Additionally, the edges of these blankets are surged sloppily and are not pretty to look at. Also, make sure you are OK with the size of these before purchasing because they are on the small side. I will end up using these as over-the-shoulder burp cloths.
