 The basket and sheets don't work together Dec 13, 2009

Like the previous reviewer, I noticed on the first washing that the sheet barely fit over the mattress (causing the mattress to flex in an awkward way) and the material and padding didn't fit right around the basket anymore. Obviously with a newborn the ability to wash efficiently is paramount, something apparently lost on the manufacturer in the rush to capitalize on the "organic" marketing.

I wanted my baby to have all the organic gear so I spent the extra money to upgrade on this product to organic. The "mattress" cover and blanket were cheaply made. In fact, I didn't use the cover at all. I also couldn't figure out if the mattress was cut too big or if the mattress cover was too small, but I really struggled to get the cover on after washing and air drying. After washing the mattress cover the first time, the seam came apart in one area. I liked the basket though. If I were to do this again, I still would have purchased the Tadpoles basket, but just not in organic--wasn't worth the extra money.

My daughter is enjoying her Moses basket Christmas present. It was a great value for an organic product and she is happy with the quality. Delivery co. could have taken better care of the package. Looked like they stacked much heavier packages on top of it, but the basket was unharmed(though arrived after Christmas).

We used this bassinet for our baby until he was 4 months old. I didn't stick with the original bedding once we did the first sheet change; however, I didn't have problems with the sheet shrinking. The blanket was sort of useless- as are ALL blankets for newborns in bed!! We simply used a sleep sack and put him in PJs. The head to foot rocking is a big plus and the bassinet is narrow so it fit well next to our bed (in a small room). I am definitely storing it and keeping it for number two and am glad we didn't spend big bucks on something fancier.

Ordered this product for baby number two and was very, very disppointed. The blanket and sheet both shrunk after first wash (after washing as instructed) and had to be replaced. The blanket looked like a doll's blanket and the sheet did not even fit over the mattress. Complete waste of money.
