Great Buy May 01, 2011
By venusstorm I bought this for my daughter because a friend had loaned us her Cloud B Ladybug which is similar but does not play music. I chose the frog because it was more fitting to my childs interests and room color scheme but also b/c I thought it a better value due to the fact that it plays music and sounds. I am very pleased with my purchase. It has a few soothing lullabies and a few noises- waves, rainforest sound complete with rain, frogs and birds, and finally white noise. It has a button under the velcro on the bottom that can control the volume with three different settings. I will say that cloud B seeemed to be a little better quality and I liked the buttons better on the cloud B but I feel the sound capabilities made up for it and it is not a concerning lack of quality. The button for the sound is kind of awkward and hard to push but not terrible. My daughter loves it and I highly reccomend it.

MUST HAVE Feb 11, 2011
By love2shop This is the best money I've spent. Daughter was afraid of the dark...this solved the problem. As for the other review with the amber color being red...not on mine. Not sure why that happened but ours is amber, purple, and green. My son has the cloud b one and this one is leaps and bounds better!!!! batteries last longer in this one too!

Good, but could be better Aug 12, 2011
By Stefanie Henry I bought this item over the Cloud B twilight turtle, etc, because it has the music option. My 2 year old was really excited upon seeing it, which has not changed based on what it does. The music isn't that great as lullabies and it sounds very "tinny". There are 3 starlight colors but they don't rotate, it is pick one. It is a nice product, but I think future versions will improve upon the complaints I have with it.

Best option I've found Sep 25, 2011
By Bensmama So my 18 month old occasionally wakes up too early and needs something to occupy him until it's time to get out of his crib. So, I started looking for a "baby sleep soother" thingy, which led to the Sleep Sheep, Slumber Bear, Twilight Turtle, Soothe and Glow Seahorse, etc. (all of the ones on Amazon)...
This one seemed to be the best option for several reasons:
1. Glows AND has sound 2. Plays for 30 mins before timing out! (Seahorse is only 5 min.) 3. Volume control settings (3 levels) 4. Can be activated by baby (a one+ year old baby who can learn to push a button, not a little baby)
We got it in yesterday, and it's already saved me an hour and a half of sleep (this morning), which is well worth $25!
So, in short, I like it very much, and I think it's the best option. Except for a little baby (under 9 months) I would vote for Slumber Bear because he's motion activated, but he doesn't glow, but at that age, the glowing is probably not necessary.)
I docked it one star because as others have mentioned the sound quality could be better... it does have a "tinny" sound, but since it's got a volume setting that is very low, it doesn't have to be a loud tinny sound. And the music is kind of elevator-ish, with saxophones and stuff, which I don't really dig, but hey if it gets me extra sleep, bring it on! There are actually 6 different song/nature sound options, and even a heartbeat option, so surely one of the 6 will be tolerable for you.
This is a tiny thing, but also the frog's head faces down instead of up like in the picture. It's no big deal, but I was a little disappointed when I saw it in person. It's also smaller than I imagined, less than a foot long. But the green color is really cute, and my son likes it already. Oh, and the light isn't blindingly bright so when baby stares into it, it won't blind him/her.
Oh, and it does a really good job projecting all over the ceiling. I was very impressed with that part. The colors are blue, red, and green... They're all pretty.
Overall, I think it's the best "glowing toy with sound nighttime baby soother" out there!

Achieved the impossible! Jan 15, 2012
By Miazmommi Our five year old has had a heck of a time sleeping in her own bed let alone putting herself to sleep without someone staying with her until she falls asleep. With a new baby on the way, it was extremely important that we get this under control. We put the Slumber Buddies, Frog on our registry and let our daughter open it to see how it worked. She loved it! Three different colors: red, blue, and green (NOTE: the red is not as bright/pronounced as the other two); a starry night illuminates the room; lullabies; nature sounds; three different volume levels (although the lowest is still a bit loud for my taste); and automatic shut off. Perfect for a new baby!
However, with our daughter so reluctant to sleep in her room, I decided to let her borrow her brother's frog one night and was completely and utterly amazed at what happened. We turned on the frog's light (blue is her favorite) and the third lullaby (also her favorite). I laid with her and we pretended to point out different planets for a few minutes. Then I kissed her and told her it was time for me to leave. There were no tears, there was no getting out of bed, and when I checked on her later, she was out cold. AND she didn't wake up in the middle of the night! We have successfully gotten her to stay in her bed every night since letting her use this to aid her in falling asleep. In fact, I ordered her her own Slumber Buddies, Butterfly which will be here in a couple of days. What started out as a cute idea for a nightlight for our baby boy's turtle and frog themed room turned out to be a true lifesaver for our older child. I could not be happier with this purchase! Summer Infant, once again, knocks it out of the park!
