I read all the reviews on multiple sites prior to purchasing this set, and like most Mom's, I don't know the sex of the baby, so I was looking for something neutral. What drew me to this set is there were "non-standard" colors like orange and cream. Most neutral items still were heavy on blue or pink/purple. I read others perceptions of the colors and discussed them with my husband; we decided that we'd be satisfied if they were anything close to what was pictured. What we got was exactly that - the orange is more rust, the blue is a light, sky blue, yellow is yellow, the green is a granny smith apple green and the browns are a tan and dark wood colors. The white is not white but more cream...in any case, it was as expected and we love it!
All pieces shipped well and came without flaws. All pieces washed well - colors didn't fade or bleed and the threading stayed in tact. Drying, I thought, helped losen up the "tightness" of the blanket and comforter.
Overall, I would recommend this set to anyone looking to save a few dollars and are flexible in a room design. We waited to paint or buy anything addtional for the room until we saw exactly what things looked like in person.

I got this as a gift from my registry. Besides the fact that some of the items in the package were stained, the colors are faded. But the biggest disappointed was the fact that it is not 100% cotton. I ended up returning the set.

I live in Canada and tried to find a crib set with more than 6 items.... no such luck. I found this one and thought that for the price (1/2 of what a 6 piece set would cost here)could I really go wrong? Nope! It is perfect. The colours are not as bright as I might have liked, but I can work with that. The pieces are awesome and I love that it comes with the valence; really pulls the room together. It is not "high" qualitiy, but I know that I will be going through sheets like crazy and this is more of a room finisher than anything else.

i bought this bedding set because i thought it was a cute design and it had a great price tag however, i was a little disappointed when i received it. the fabric is not very soft (it's almost "scratchy") and the actual product is not as good of quality as it appears to be in the picture. i haven't washed it yet so i can't say if it will soften up after washing or not. i am not sure yet whether i am going to keep this set or send it back and try something else instead. i CAN say that i was pleased with how quickly it arrived (about 4 days after i ordered it) and it was nicely packaged with no pieces missing. all in all, as long as you don't mind having a somewhat scratchy, somewhat cheap looking crib bedding set, this would be a good choice because you get SO MUCH for the money.

I just received the bedding set and one extra valance today and I am pleased overall with the product. Those expecting Pottery Barn type quality would probably be disappointed but I think this set is very decent for the price. The valances are a bit thin, it would be nice if they had some sort of backing to make them more opaque. The colors I found to be just a tiny bit off from the photos, but not nearly as much as I feared from some other reviews I read. I would say the yellow is paler and the green is just a bit brighter than the photos show.
