If you own a Beatrice Combo Unit this is great addition! Dec 12, 2005
By Max's Mom I ordered this hutch from Walmart. Cost me $107.00 with tax and shipping and it arrived in a little over a week. The box came in very nicely packaged so no pieces where damaged. It took me (I am 5.5 month pregnant now) less than 30 minutes to put it together, and I only needed my husband to lift it up and put it on top of the dresser. The hutch looks great and it is very functional. It screws to the dresser so you don't have to worry about it falling. (The directions indicated to only screw it on the bottom in one corner, but extra screws were provided and we decided to screw the hutch all the way across to the dresser for extra stability) The back panel can be easily drilled for holes in case you want to put a stereo on one of the shelves and need a hole for a cord. The shelves are tall so they fit all kinds of books. This is a great alternative to a bookshelf, which would take up room on the floor. You can also use the top of the hutch for storage or decorative pieces.
GREAT BUY.

Beautiful Mar 05, 2008
By Emmly We purchased this to go on top of the Beatrice dresser/changing station for my son. It's beautiful. Yes, it does need to be assembled, but we didn't have any trouble with that. My husband was able to do it all by himself and he's not mechanically inclined at all. The wood finish is very smooth and beautiful. We liked it so much, we purchased another one for our second son's room.

No room for changing pad Jan 05, 2011
By anonymous I ordered this hutch to go with the matching combo tower/baby changing table. Unfortunately, after putting the combo tower together, I realized that the space for the changing pad barely fits my pad (which is 32 inches, a standard-sized changing pad). After looking at the diagrams of how the hutch fits, which is smaller than the top of the combo tower, I see no way that the pad will fit with the hutch in place. I think there is plenty of room for storage within the combo tower unit itself, but was looking forward to having more easily accessible space with the hutch, oh well. It was very easy to send the hutch back through Amazon, we never even opened the box. Also, the top to my combo tower was scratched, and I had no problems working with Storkcraft to get a replacement part. They were very helpful. I would recommend that if you plan to use the combo tower as a changing table that you not order the hutch. After looking back, I do see now that this comment has been made before, but wanted to reiterate.

Adds lots of storage! Jul 09, 2010
By Busy mom I picked out the Beatrice changing table for my son's nursery, but couldn't find the matching white hutch at any of the stores that sold the changing table. I was very happy to find it at a good price on Amazon. It arrived very quickly, in good condition, with all parts. It was very easy to put together (though there were lots of screws! But I guess that's a good thing). I love all the extra storage the hutch provides! It's a small room, so being able to add storage without using up more floor space was a big plus! The shelves aren't very deep, but I was able to easily fit baskets, toys and books on the shelves. My only complaint would be that the hutch is not as wide as the changing table, so adding the hutch took away from the space on top of the changer. Our changing pad is a little scrunched, but it did fit. Overall, I am very pleased with the price, product and overall experience.

Cherry Hutch and Tower Combo Odd Color Apr 05, 2011
By tripntoys This hutch is definitely worth the price!!! It is a beautiful piece that will be used for many years, not only as baby furniture, but as a bookshelf and storage cabinet for toys, clothes, etc. There is ample storage and is very effective at keeping things within hands reach and organized during changings and just in general. I would recommend this to anyone, but there are a few things that I wish I would have known before buying it.
1. My biggest complaint is the color. I have antique cherry furniture and modern cherry furniture, and this cherry hutch does not match any of my other cherry pieces. It has a deep purple hue to it, closer to an eggplant color. There are many different colors of cherry, but if you are looking for something closer to Brazilian cherry hardwood floor, this is NOT going to match.
2. The doors, drawer fronts, and several trim pieces are the only solid wood pieces. The rest is veneered particle board. That being said, this piece was engineered very well. It does not feel flimsy like other particleboard furniture I have purchased and assembled. For example, the drawer bottoms are set into dadoes, not just nailed to the bottom of the drawers.
3. The drawer slide rollers do not line up well with the predrilled holes on the bottom of the drawers, and strip out easily with even a little too much pressure. Solution is to predrill your own holes for the drawer slides and use extreme caution when tightening the screws.
4. If the tower is used and attached to the hutch, the standard size changing pad does NOT fit properly. The lower shelf of the tower has to be left off as well.
Overall, we are very satisfied with this furniture.
