Cheaper at Walmart.com Jul 31, 2005
By Mom of Karilyn ( April 2005) This is an absolutely beautiful chest of drawers!!!! I bought it sight unseen (well I didn't find it anywhere to see it in person) and for the price I really expected to receive some cheap flimsy chest. To my surprise it is pretty solid. The drawers are made of veneer wood but the rest is solid wood. I especially like the smooth semi glossy white color. I have to say the picture is a little deceiving and leads you to think the drawers are deep. The front part is tall but the sides are more shallow. I would recommed getting this 5 drawer instead of the 3 or 4 drawer if you are requiring more storage space. I put this together myself toward the end of my pregnancy with the easy to follow picture directions. All you need is a phillips screwdriver and you are set. Overall if you don't want to fork over an extravagant amount of money this is definitly worth the price.

Don't waste your money! Jan 13, 2005
By Amber I was very excited to receive my baby furniture quite promptly. That was about the only good thing about buying this furniture! Although we ordered all furniture in natural finish, and the packing slip indicated that all the furniture shipped was natural, the changing tower they actually sent was cherry finish.
Still excited to have a chest of drawers to start organizing all my baby stuff my husband, who is fairly handy around the house, and my good friend who is an engineer spent the next 3 hours plus struggling to put the dresser together. The instructions are horrible! One piece (a wooden dowel) was missing. Then the wood began splintering when they started assembling the casing. The last straw was when they went to place the drawers in and the wood splintered where the drawer guide had been placed. If the furniture is falling apart before it has even been used how long could it possibly hold up to actual use?
Also please note that the picture of the dresser is deceptive. The drawers are very shallow - about half of what they appear in the picture.
I think here the old adage, "you get what you pay for" applies. Although I'm not sure if I would even pay $100 for these drawers. Needless to say we are returning everything and buying something that will be a bit more sturdy.

I guess you get what you pay for Nov 28, 2005
By 1st Time Mommy 2B Ok, so the dresser was only $200 (plus shipping), but I would have rather had a little more drawer space. The fronts of the drawers measure almost 9", but the insides are only 3-1/2" deep!!!! As others have said, the front of the drawers and outer casing of the dresser are pretty solid, but the drawers themselves are particle board. It took about an hour to put together and according to my husband, the instructions were easy to follow and there were no pieces missing. I would only recommend this item if you are looking for a dresser that looks nice but don't need a lot of storage space.

Nothing but a headache May 18, 2006

I read other reviews that said it was headache, but I went ahead and purchased this item because it's less expense than anything I else I saw. I should have listened... I ordered it in Feb, it is now May and we still don't have the dresser together. There were pieces missing, and a major piece broken. When you try to call, the line is busy. I had to hang up and redial, what felt like forever. They said my piece would come in 3 weeks, it was more like 7 weeks. The piece that was broken had the drawer rails on it, but when it came, it had no rails. So, I said I wanted to return the entire thing, they were fine with it, but it can take up to 8 weeks to get your money back. So, at this point in time, we are going to go to the hardware store to buy what we need so that I can have a dresser in my son's room.

A wonderful value Nov 27, 2005
By S. Healy My in-laws gave us this dresser as a gift, and we couldn't be happier. It did not take an inordinate amount of time to put together. And we had NO issues with drawer alignment. Perhaps the other reviwers had the wrong drawer in the wrong slot-- which we did initially. It really looks like much more than a $200 dresser. We would definitely buy again.
