Great Disappointment Mar 22, 2009

Well, first I need to say that the dresser was shipped by AMAZON via UPS. The mail carrier dropped the large box at my door w/o knocking. Which was usual. I just happened to be home and heard them drive off. When I got the package off my porch, I noticed the the entire bottom was soaked with water. I opened the package up and found that many of the pieces were water damaged.
I know I probably should just send it back, but I'm nine months pregnant, and just wanted to get the nursery DONE! So, I let the pieces dry and put them together, hoping it wouldn't be so bad.
Even without the water damage though, I think this dresser is EXACTLY what you pay for. It is cheap and not so pleasing to the eyes. While putting it together, there was difficulty with some screws fitting in the holes (or absent holes) that ended up leaving ugly markings through some of the pieces, only noticeable from the inside of the drawers. Still, not a sign of quality furniture. And not really what I had in mind.
The small-sized drawers did not fit nicely in the base once completed. They all look unevenly spaced. I'm sure I could try and reset each to make them look better... but, that's gonna take some freetime, that I just don't have now. Not to mention, it needs a fresh coat of paint b/c of the water damage.
I've actually recently purchase a comparable children's furniture set at Target (Delaney line in white or honey oak) for my older child's room and found it BY FAR better quality and easier to assemble, for very close to the same price! I would strongly recommend that set over this one.

Great dresser! Aug 07, 2010
By lacehops I'll start with the frustrating part: It took my husband and I about 2 hours working together to get this thing assembled. The instructions were easy to follow and clear, but there were just a lot of steps and pieces. Now for the good parts: The instructions are not confusing at all, the product is in excellent condition, and the end result is FABULOUS for the price! No gaps or spaces, no scratches or holes, no missing pieces, etc. It looks almost identical to a dresser that a friend of mine has in her nursery, except hers was $360! The sliding parts are plastic, but I like it because it makes opening and closing the drawers so quiet! It is sturdy and I feel it will hold up well over time. I was a little worried about what I was getting into after reading several other reviews, but I am very happy with my purchase! Knowing what I know now, I would have no problem with purchasing this exact product again!

Good quality for the price Sep 08, 2010
By T. Rose Bought this chest for my 9-year-old daughter's room. She needed something to put her TV on and for some storage. Easy to understand instructions that took 3-4 hours to assemble. Seems sturdy and has the room we needed. I wanted it to coordinate better with the other peices in the room so I changed out the white knobs it comes with for satin nickle knobs that I bought at another site. Gives a more updated look. Saw other peices like this for much more money... so this was a good find.

Whew! What an assembly job! Nov 25, 2008
By G.M. The price was good, but be prepared to spend 8 hours on assembling this puppy! In the end though, it is fairly attractive and fulfills our need for extra storage in the guest bedroom. I only gave it this rating because, while it feels sturdy (as in not needing to be anchored to the wall) the drawers are not very evenly spaced when you look at it from the front. That means the holes were not pre-punched evenly, which is a shame.
Working out well May 12, 2012
By RedErin This dresser is working perfectly for my 2.5 year old daughter's room. The drawers are a good size and the feature that keeps them from falling out is great.
