LOVE IT!!!! Aug 17, 2010
By missykrissy This is the best thing I could have ever bought! I wish I would have had this with my other two children. My husband and I are actually able to sleep at night instead of losing sleep because we are afraid the baby will quit breathing. The only problem I have encountered is the sound went out after about two months of use. I called the company and they told me to send it back and they would send me another. I didn't have to fight with them or anything. I do recommend that you turn the monitor off when you're nursing though, because it can lose contact with the baby and vibrate. And turn the monitor on before you put it on the baby, because it vibrates when you turn it on and can wake the baby up.

Best thing I could have ever gotten for my baby. Apr 18, 2011
By Jessi from IL This is tiny, non-intrusive, and worth every penny. Its small enough to travel with the baby so I send it with her to the sitter. It has misfired a few times, but it has also gone off for real a couple of times too, or so we suspect. The alarm had sounded, we rushed to check on her and she was not moving, not stirring from the alarm, and it was snugly on her diaper right where it should be. After that happened a couple of times, I decided that I would have paid three times as much for this moniter because it has done exactly what it is meant to do. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if I didn't own this little thing. Even if does misfire, a false alarm is better than no alarm. Do yourself a favor, buy this little diaper moniter and rest a whole lot easier.

BUY THIS MONITOR!! one mom to another Feb 02, 2012
By Hannah My first daughter, Annabelle, died from SIDs at four months old. Because of this I was extra worried about my second daughter, Ashley when she was born. My sister gave the Snuza Halo to us at the hospital when Ashley was born. It has been on her for every sleeping moment since the day we received it. It is the cherished thing that I have for her. I would gladly give up EVERY other child gismo and gadget just to own this monitor. It gives me peace of mind like you can never imagine. When she was first born it took us a while to figure out how to best keep it in place on that small little diaper. Since then I have figured out it still picks up movement though small amounts of clothing such as a onesie. The best way to do make sure you don't have any false alarms is to clip it onto a pair of pants. And if you have a real mover or a very little baby who's breathing is less pronounced, clip the halo to a pair of well fitted pants and snap the onesie OVER the halo. This will insure that it never looses contact with the belly and makes it go off falsely. In light of my first daughters death, many people have asked me if there is anything that they can do to help ease the pain of my loss. To anyone who has babies my response is always the same. Buy the snuza monitor. The only thing that I can do about my daughter's death is to try to eliminate the unnecessary loss of other precious babies. Somehow, knowing that I may have spared other babies' lives and the heartbreak of other mother's makes the pain of loosing her a little less. Please, buy the snuza monitor and tell your friends too. That way, Annabelle's death will have counted for something - saving the life of other babies.

Great product! Oct 05, 2010

I'm so happy my husband and I decided to purchase this. It gives us the ability to sleep well at night without worrying our baby is going to die of SIDS. It's easy to operate and clips right onto their diaper so you can take it anywhere. For the most part it stays put, although once it came loose and wasn't touching my sons skin, the alarm went off and scared me to death! First it vibrates to try to wake the baby up if they aren't breathing, then it vibrates and the alarm goes off. If it ever had to do the first vibration the light on it blinks orange instead of green so you know it went off. I would definitely recommend this product for new parents! Totally worth the money!

Peace of mind and has already alerted us multiple times! Oct 23, 2011
By Daniel Covell We turned on the Snuzza Halo when we first received the unit and let it sit. After the 15 seconds it let out a few quick vibrates that would scare even an adult if they were asleep. Nothing harsh just quick. Then 5 seconds later a high pitched alarm goes off, quite audible but does not hurt your ears, like an alarm clock.
So we used it and less than a week later it went off and it scared us pretty good since we realized after about 3 or 4 seconds what it was, woke us out of a dead sleep. My wife rushed over to the baby and we can't tell if she was not breathing but she was not moving. When my wife picked her up it scared the baby awake. We cannot tell for sure if she stopped breathing or not but the peace of mind knowing that this device is watching over her the entire night while we sleep is much better than nothing at all. Even as parents if you get up every 10 minutes to check on an infant it still could not be enough.
SIDS is scary and even though only about 6000 infants under 1 year of age die in the US of SIDS each year the chances are still there and the $120 is cheap insurance for the life of our baby.
Just recently the same incident happened, thought an alarm clock was going off in my head, my wife realized that it was the baby alarm, got up and her hands were cold and she was just not moving. If she was breathing it was so shallow that my wife could not tell in the few seconds before my wife picked her up. False alarm or not, I can live the occasional false alarm and not worry about my child dying while we sleep. Not trying to scare anyone, the percentage rate is very low but still possible.
