Awesome a million times over!!!! Jan 13, 2012
By lady&son AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!! The original diaper is the only diaper that kept our heavy wetting son dry for 12 hours of night time sleep since he was 3 months!! But now he is 13 months and I was having to wake him up several hours into night time sleep lately to put a new diaper on to make it till morning since he has gotten older and drinks lots of water (he wakes up if he is wet). I can say that we used the new overnight diapers last night and they are great!! I have been wishing for these for awhile now and we were surprised to see them on amazon now. They feel 4x thicker than the original diaper and still run a size small (my son wear 4 in pampers but 5 in these). These never leave a rash either- love them!! I hope they make these in size 6 and training pants. I always put these on my son when we are going to out shopping and such for several hours too. They hold #2 great as well. However, I would not use the size 1 or 2 if your baby has loose newborn stool, better after their intestines seal up around 3 months. Oh and they have the little cartoon character that is on the package on them. Something different to look at. UPDATE: Still awesome but I have noticed they run more closer to size. I originally said they run a size small like the regular 7th generation, however I now believe these run more true to size. I have had different packages of this brand in the same size before be different size from one package to the next. But this does not happen all the time. Still my favorite diaper and worth using so my baby does not wake up crying because his diaper had leaked!

if only I could give this ZERO stars! Jan 14, 2012
By starkravingmad Let me start by saying I try not to impose an unsolicited opinion on others... However - I cannot hold my tongue on this! Perhaps the zeal with which I do NOT recommend this horrendous let down is exaggerated by the fact that I'm sitting here at 1 in the morning - cold - on a love-seat - while my practically naked toddler sleeps on a chair because the guest bed in the house we're at is SOAKED, but even if we were in the comfort of our home I would be rating this as low as I could. I was SO excited when I heard 7th Gen was coming out w an overnight diaper! Our son has always been a very heavy wetter, so much so that we had to abandon cloth at nine months and for the last six months or so we've had to put a pull-up on over a diaper that was a size bigger than he needs. I am so disappointed I could cry. The first night was fine. The second night ended about three hours early with an overflow that had me up doing laundry and him thinking it was time to party. The third night was so NOT the charm. We left home after his bedtime routine to drive to my mom's (about 2 hours away). I brought my sleeping monster in and laid him down in the bed we were to share. By the time I got ready for bed, this sad excuse for an overnight diaper failed AGAIN! So I had to wake him up, strip him down, clean him off, re-diaper him, and find someplace for him to sleep since the bed is too wet to sleep in tonight. I will be adding "buy diapers that don't suck" to my list of things to do tomorrow. I try hard to be environmentally responsible. It's important to me that we respect and revere nature and I want to instill this in my son. I love the practice of considering the "next seven generations" in my day to day decisions... I cannot sacrifice my sleep, sanity or money for the next seven generations, much less the sleep and comfort of THE next generation! So sad to say this, but 7th gen overnights = FAIL. ...and to add insult to injury; the Lorax is my all time favorite Dr Seuss book. =(

Work well, a little on the expensive side... Apr 26, 2012

My 23-month-old is 26 pounds and almost 3 feet tall. The diapers fit him well, and since they were indeed very absorbent, there was no leaking into the crib overnight. I have also found that these type of diapers are very useful when going on long trips when diaper changing stations are few and far between!
The seventh generation overnight diapers aren't the most attractive on the market - a shade of taupe that resembles dirty socks - but they do seem to be comfortable, well-fitting, and absorbent.
The material was not irritating to his skin and is quite soft, so I think it would be ideal for babies who have more sensitive skin. Perhaps the lack of color and design on the diapers are a function of them being a dye-free and greener product for the environment. I like that the diapers have no fragrance and are free of latex and other common chemicals.
I would recommend this product but am not sure that there are not cheaper products out there that do just as well. I find the price rather steep for the number of diapers in the package.

A very decent product Mar 27, 2012
By Nuknuk The 7th Generation overnight diaper is a very decent product. It is not white as most diapers in the market are. It is more like a recycled brown paper bags, but lighter in color. It is nice to think that it is made mostly from natural wood pulp environmentally friendly material as you can easily throw a mountain of them in just a few months.
Is it free from harsh chemicals and perfume so it is much safer for babies with sensitive skin and with allergies. As a licensed chilcare provider, my wife also commented on the softness of the material unlike other products that are scratchy, which make the babies annoyed and fidgety.
In terms of absorbency, it can be better. If the baby is doing number one a bit more than normal, it can easily get soaked and you have to replace it more often.

Extra absorbency, comfortable Mar 26, 2012
By Ram When you put your baby/toddler to sleep or on a long distance road trip/flight travel - you tend to change the diapers fewer times - thats when you need diapers with extra absorbency.
We used diapers on a recently trip from Dallas to OKC city and it held up pretty well. At the first look, the diapers look unattractive and does not make you believe that they are super-absorbent, you have to use once to start believing them.
So far, I was using the Fisher price Day+Night diapers which are good as well. But these (from Seventh Generation) are chlorine free which provides an addition benefit of eliminating rashes.
