These are bad, but you can make them better. Apr 04, 2011

This baby monitor kit might seem like a good deal, but once you start using it you can see that it's actually pretty crappy. The problems are various: -You can't use the receivers with the included AC adapters without them catching a lot of static and making weird noises. -They drain batteries in two days, and i'm using eneloop rechargeables that usually last much longer than regular batteries whenever I use them other electronics (I did not even dare put regular batteries on these, so as not to waste more money) -From time to time they'll just lose sound, that's to say I know it's receiving it, because the light indicators respond to noises I from the monitored room, but it stops outputting through the speakers, specially if a loud sound comes over, it kind of shocks it into silence. This will last usually a few minutes and I have to turn it off for a little while and on again, which is very annoying. I have checked that it is not the channel, the volume or the transmitter, as I have two receivers, and the other might be working fine while one is in this mute mode. -The transmitter design is a bit awkward, I have mine up on a wall, and I had to string a bit of wire through two little hoops it has to attach it to a hook in the wall, but the positioning of the light button is not the best idea, as when I had it on a flat surface, it was hard to turn ON and OFF, the light is very weak, and you can see objects in the interior which makes it unappealing.
That being said, they're not all bad. When they work, the sound is not bad, it's actually pretty good, in a quiet night I can hear my son breathe through these with no discernible noise, on batteries of course. You can find a better deal on other brands or other models on this brand. I do not recommend this product.

Baby Monitor Jun 05, 2010
By DesikaVeryn This is my first baby monitor, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. For the most part it works great in our small apartment. We have one parent monitor in the living room and one in the bedroom. The mic on the baby monitor is great. I have it across the room from my twins' cribs and can hear everything. I like the light up feature...as my husband and I might be watching tv or standing on our patio and all I have to do is look to see if it is lighting up if I can't hear anything. The temperature feature is nice, but not one I rely on. The only con is that sometimes our cell phones and even our computer (which is nearby) cause static.

don't work very well May 05, 2011
By Tabitha Hansen There is a lot of static no mater where you are. I do not recomend this item. I am not really sure why I even bought it unless I was going for price. I know I wanted a 2 speaker system but I usually read reviews before I buy anything and this one I must have missed! I am not a happy camper but am really glad I didn't spend a lot on this item.

Worst. product. ever May 03, 2011
By Chad George I'll start with an admission- we were trying to balance price with features here. We figured we would use this for about a year and then pick up a new one based on our last experience. As is, these horrible devices won't make it to our newborns 5 month birthday. They are cheaply constructed, and are sensitive to just about everything. And don't set them down in any manner other than gentle or they will develop a static wave that lasts until...until the speaker stops working!! And the temperature readout? Well I hope you like being within 10-15 degrees because that's while you will get.
Bad battery life? check. Bad connectors for AC? Check. Cheap construction? Check. Customer service? HA!
Buy a tin can with a string- it would work better
It's OK Nov 21, 2011
By momof3 This is at least the 3rd monitor I've tried in my two story home. Maybe we just don't get good reception or something. If I put the monitor on my nightstand (where I think most parents would like it) it must pick up interference from our wireless router under our bed. So now it sits in my bathroom. It has a loud buzzing if I need it loud enough to hear the baby cry. I feel like there's not really another better option for me though, unless I want to pay over $100. I do like the temperature gauge in the baby's room though.
