First review, had to write it to warn others. Very cute, poorly manufactured. Bought three items in the set, in all a nightmare. Drawer chest arrived a week after promised thus a week after our daughter's birthday (not the manufacturer's fault but part of the story). It was packed opposite to handling instructions on the box, ie upside-down vs "this end up" and backwards, less of an issue. It was probably handled correctly, but because it traveled upside down and the top rested on another component it arrived cracked in two places. Took more than a month to get a refund because the manufacturer denied it was their fault. Right Start and Amazon finally came through. They didn't want it back so I assembled the remainder to use anyway. Two drawer fronts didn't fit properly. Best fix was to drill larger holes, but it was likely because the tracks are uneven. The handles are awful, cheap rubber hosing shields the screws and separates the handles from the drawers, none, not one, was cut evenly, they are all crooked. We'll keep it until something breaks, I give it less that 6 months. The "best" item in the set is the bed. Room Magic Twin Bed, Magic Garden Natural. Only a minor issue, one of the allen bolt sockets in the foot rail wasn't drilled straight, took three tries to get that bolt in, fortunately I did because then the artificial wood most of the set is made of split. Can't ever take that piece apart, but it seems it should hold. It too arrived late because it was shipped to a nearby business on a palette and it took a week to get it back from them. The toy chest is a hazard. Room Magic Toy Box, Natural. The "safety" hinge broke inside of 6 weeks, probably not opened more that two dozen times. Have glued some padding to the corners of the lid and the sides such that there is now a quarter inch gap so if one of my 3 or 5 yr olds do drop it (it is heavy, too heavy for the hinge) it doesn't sever their fingers. I do foresee a few owies, I pray not an emergency room visit. BTW this item was slightly damaged in shipping as well, it was dropped on an edge. DO NOT purchase, very disappointing for the amount of money paid.

I recently purchased this chest of drawers for my daughter and there is a design flaw in this chest that potential buyers need to be aware of. First of all, the chest is roomy, pretty, and made of good material. However after several months the top 2 drawers began to sag in the middle of the chest because there is poor support for the top two drawers there. The drawers are heavy even when empty, so this is where structural support should have been reinforced. If you look at the top of the drawer you'll notice that the top 2 drawers are not as wide and there is a short vertical piece of wood in the middle of that drawer row. As I indicated above, this piece is poorly secured to the top of the chest and it is there that the wooden pieces began to separate. Initially it was only a few milimeters and I paid little attention to that. However after several months, the gap between the solid wood chest top and this vertical piece has widened and consequently both top drawers slant down in the middle of the chest. Also, the wooden beam underneath these drawers has began to bow down in the middle and by now, this impacts the ability to close the lower drawers. I can still squeeze them in to close but the movement is not smooth and it is likely to only get worse with time.
Since it occured past the 30 day return date, I will probably try to take the chest appart to see if I can somehow strengthen the support for these top drawers. It may require drilling screws through the top and into that vertical middle beam.
Even if this occured prior to the 30d window, it would have been difficult to ship the item back as it is a very heavy piece of furniture and it was shipped by a special truck service. So if you're considering evaluating this chest with the option to return it if not satisfied, you should think twice. Trying to return would be very difficult under any circumstances unless you have a truck and can drive it back to the warehouse that you purchased it at.
I have other children's furniture from IKEA and although I hate the construction materials they use, at least their furniture didn't come with such design flaws.

I really do like this nice solid piece of furniture. The problem that we had was the reversible drawer fronts did not fit correctly and rub when when you open and close the drawer. I called Room Magic and they were helpful and gave us the option of having new fronts sent, we could have sent the whole thing back, or we could have made the the drill holes slightly bigger to lower the drawer faces. We fixed it and I think it is beautiful.

We liked colors and theme very much but son sort of out grew the Trucks part and my wife wanted to change his room around. So we reversed the drawer fronts and the chest was a pretty natural finish. The chest really stands up to time. The all wood construction makes the it last and we recommend Room Magic furniture. It's good.
