Very unsafe crib Aug 18, 2010
By Murzik

When we received this crib the plastic/glass parts (cut out rocket) were unglued from the crib and very sharp, creating a very unsafe, life threatening situation for the baby. Even when we glued them back to the crib, the edges of the cut out plastic rocket are still very sharp. when you slide you fingers over the edges of the rocket, you can easily get cut. And we are adults. What can I say about the baby? This crib should not be manufactured, period. I don't know how room magic is still in business, creating such unsafe items. Just to clarify. The rocket parts are not in between the wood of the crib. They are glued on the wood inside the crib (inner side) where the baby sleeps. Horrible!!!!!

One bed is doing fine but... Mar 15, 2011
By ah The beds are not going to last at the rate bed#1 is going. Just bought it in Feb 2011 and it starts out with the holes not matching up by 2 inches. So we had to make new holes to match. Then within 2 weeks wheel #1 pops off, in 3 weeks the bottoms give out, and then lastly week 4 #2 wheel pops off as well. Bed #2 started out with the holes not matching; the same way as bed#1. No other issues has happened to it as of today. (March 15, 2011)
So I think this product is a hit-and-miss. I originally gave it a pretty good review since neither of the beds were falling apart. They are made from a good wood and there is no metal bed frame underneath. That alone is bonus points to me.

Wonderful Crib Sep 09, 2011
By Anne Hollenberg We purchased the Rocket crib for my grandson and it arrived in great shape. We have had it for 3 years and never had any problems. The plexiglass is rock solid inset flush with the wood so there cannot be any sharp edges. We checked with the consumer product safety commission and the crib is certified. Safe, great design and quality.

Great crib Dec 21, 2010
By babylove We bought the Room Magic crib with the plexi-glass windows and were very impressed with the safety and the quality. Nothing was damaged or broken, so no sharp edges or hazards at all. The plexiglass is inset so the surface is flush with the inside of the wood surface. There is no possible way this window can come out. We love that it is both attractive, and brings something unique and fun into the nursery.

Should be recalled Feb 24, 2012
By ZMG Don't buy this!! I bought this crib in late 2009, three months before my child was born. The first headboards arrived with the plexiglass insert coming unglued. The replacement headboards arrived cracked. The third headboards arrived in good condition, but the edges of the plexiglass always seemed sharp and unsafe to me. I should have paid attention to my instincts and returned it. My child started sleeping in the crib at age 7 months, and by the time she was 16 months old, the glue holding the plexiglass in the headboard had failed, making the crib totally unsafe. I had to immediately stop using it and put my child in a Pack N Play to sleep.
Room Magic was willing to replace the headboards, but I didn't want to use such an unsafe product anymore. In fact, they sent me replacement headboards unsolicited.
The decorative element is not worth the threat to the safety of your child. Once the owner of Room Magic found out I had made a report to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, she became appallingly rude and unpleasant. I offered to send the broken headboards back to her for examination, and she refused to consider it. Her letter in response to my CPSC report accused me of making the whole thing up, and was so full of lies I was able to get most of it redacted. You don't want to deal with this woman.
I had to buy a new crib for my 16-month-old. She'll probably use it for less than a year. Don't be like me. My CPSC report is 20110807-3D636-2147476471 and the link to the incident is [...].
