my 19 month old got this toy for xmas and he loves it. he loves to spin the gears and he takes them off and puts them to the matching color. under the gears are little pegs that they attach to. the pegs match the color of the gear in the spot they belong. very educational when it comes to teaching colors. it doesn't have the distraction of electronics.

I don't know why it's a caterpillar, but that's my only complaint. This toy is simple and fun. The gears are easy to spin, even for uncoordinated baby fingers. It's neat that the gears come off the wood block; it invites creative use. My 13 month old enjoys hiding them.

We gave this to our 19 month old son for Christmas, and it is now one of his favorite toys. He plays with it almost everyday.

When I ordered this toy, I was expecting it to be all wood. Actually, the gears are plastic. Only the board is wood. This is still a really fun toy though. Very cute and a great way to learn colors and how gears work.

This is the most simple toy ... and tons of fun to my 16 month old. She loves spinning one of the pieces and seeing all the others spin too! Great "emergency" gift ... for a day when I just was not feeling too great and still wanted my daughter to be engaged in something creative.
