Most Awesome Push toy/Roller commercially available Mar 02, 2009
By M. Rousseau This is one of my son's very favorite toys from his 1st birthday/Christmas.
He was able to use it just a few weeks after learning to walk, and before that he rolled it on the floor. It makes a wonderfully pleasant sound (though it is a bit loud, but it's supposed to be). LOVE it so much more than the popper I grew up with. He "vacuums" with it, then it becomes a car, and even a guitar! It gets played with every single day. LOVE Plan Toys for being non-toxic and a Green, eco-friendly company. There are two pop. european wood toy companies with similar products, and I will say that this one is much more substantial and of the three.

My son LOVES this toy! Apr 13, 2009

My 20 month old son loves vacuums and lawn mowers. I got him the Plan Toy Walk N Roll hoping that he would enjoy it (and leave my vacuum in the closet). He absolutely loves this toy. I love it too, because the wood is smooth, the colors are bright without being garish, and the noise it makes is loud enough he likes it but without being annoying to me. My mom even enjoyed hearing it in the background while I was on the phone with her. My favorite part is that it's not electronic!!!
***UPDATE: 12/2010: My son loved his first Plan Walk N Roll to death. Literally - he banged it on our concrete sidewalk multiple times trying to "dump out grass" while acting out the way I tip our reel mower on its side to sweep grass out of it. He did it so much that he actually cracked the wood multiple times. We were able to repair it twice with super glue but the third time it was unrepairable. He still loved the toy so much that I got him a second one, with the explanation that he absolutely CANNOT keep doing that. Being a year older he understands this and even points out that he knows not to bang it like when he was a "baby". ;-) The price was right and the first one really did stand up to a lot of heavy use - but if you've got a strong toddler or a kiddo who likes to slam and bang things, you may want to have a second roller hidden away in a closet!

Every home with a walking tot needs one Sep 21, 2009

We own one and my 3 yr old still plays with it. My 11 mth old does as well although he doesn't go as fast as his older brother. Bought it as a gift for a one yr old and again the 3 yr brother stole it from her!

My son's FAVORITE! Dec 28, 2011
By C. Britt This thing is the best toddler toy I have ever seen! I bought this for my 18 month old son for Christmas and gave it to him a couple of months early because I knew he would love it and I couldn't wait to see him play with it. For two days, when he was home, he barely put the thing down. This is sorta like that classic popcorn popper toy that most kids have. However, my daughter had one of those and the noise that thing made made me want to pull my hair out; it was AWFUL! This toy is a bit loud, but it's an almost pleasant sound. The little wooden balls inside hit against each other and the rolling part when you walk with it.
Even though my son has had this roughly two months, he still plays with this more than anything he got three days ago for Christmas morning. :)
Also, another reviewer mentioned that the handle broke when someone stepped on it. I don't know the age/weight of that kid, but my 5 year old daughter has stepped on it repeatedly and it has been fine.
Bottom line: yes, this toy is about 30 bucks, and the plastic popcorn poppers are about 12 or 15. But I am telling you, BUY THIS ONE! You will NOT regret it.

Well-loved noisemaker Apr 20, 2009
By Pickypicky I think my kids love this toy partly because it makes lots of noise! They really do play with this one - running up and down our long hallway gleefully. I restrict the hours of the day they can use it since we live in a condo and want to be considerate neighbors (not that you can avoid noise with kids in the house anyway). One small complaint - the red paint from the handle has scuffed our white walls a number of times.
