this is a great spoon for the first several months of solid feeding. the bowl is more shallow than a lot of spoons out there so you don't have to angle the spoon upward to scrape the food off with your baby's upper gums. this lets your baby learn to bring her lip down herself to close her mouth around the spoon as you pull the spoon out. very easy to use. the bowl is not too narrow or small, just right for purees and thicker, lumpier textures. because of the more shallow bowl, the spoon is not great if you have a thinner, runny puree. the quality of the spoon is great. the plastic construction is smooth, so no food gets stuck anywhere. simple to clean and no visible wearing down of the material. we've been using this spoon for 2 months with no staining, or maybe because the spoon is orange we can't see the stains. overall a better baby spoon.

This is a great spoon, good size and shape with a nice feel in the hand. I was a little disappointed though when I recieved it and saw it was made in China. All the other AVENT products I have are made in England. I wish websites would think to post country of origin.

I have a munchkin spoon set too but love feeding my baby using this one. not too much depth to the sppon unlike the munchkin ones and easy for the baby to lick food off this spoon.

First off, the spoons are in a 2 pack. It took some research to see if I was going to be surprised with getting only one spoon, or 2, or ???-- and indeed, they arrived quickly in a 2 pack. The quality is good, and the spoon is balanced nicely for your hand, which I think is important since feedings can take a while for a baby new to solids, which mine is. The baby seems to like the very subtle/slight grained texture on the part that goes in his mouth (like raking those new & sprouting teeth against), and the opening/shape has met the least resistance out of a few spoons we've tried that were hand-me-downs from his older sister. They do nicely in the dishwasher, though most of the time I hand wash as I only use these 2 spoons to feed him. I will purchase more at least as gifts for friends. Great buy.
Good spoons - but made in china Jan 25, 2012

I love AVENT - we use their bottles and pretty much everything else that they sell. I was disappointed that these spoons were made in china - while most of the AVENT line is made in the UK. My little one does great with these spoons - we have been using them since she started cereal at 5 months (she is 7 1/2 months old now).
