I found this clutch for a screaming deal from a store online. I just received it in the mail, and I love it! It's my first Petunia Pickle Bottom item. I was hesitant to buy something online, but I watched some reviews on YouTube. They were very helpful in seeing more details of the bag.
Here's what you may want to know...
The clutch is bigger than you'd expect~ it's more of a medium sized purse. The strap can be clipped on as a wristlet-style bag or as a purse. If carried as a shoulder purse, the strap is not long. The bag will be clutched under your arm and is very cute and girly.
The bag itself is a medium grey color, with brown tones. It's not a true grey. But it's a nice neutral color. One of the flowers on the front has yellow/mustard stitching and embroidery work on it. Very cute, and adds a touch of color! The rest of the bag is a durable, washable material. It's heavier than you'd expect, it's not shiny, and does not look like plastic. The material design appears to have a linen texture, even though the material is very smooth. The top closure is a strong magnet all the way around. There is also a small, decorative snap. It will not be popping open unless you stuff it to the point of not being able to close it. You have to give it a good tug to open it.
The inside is lined with a mustard yellow fabric~ thick, seems durable, and looks lovely. There is a hook to attach your keys and a pocket for baby wipes (this is where the included, black PPB wipes case is located).
There is also a pocket that contains a coordinated changing mat. The mat can remain snapped into the bag, or it can be removed. It's not very padded, but seems like it'll do the job. There are also two other pockets in the bag. My iphone4 (with a sleek case) slips into the smaller pocket perfectly. The other pocket is slightly bigger. The remaining room in the bag is adequate for a few diapers and a small wallet. I've read some reviews from ladies who have preferred to remove the changing pad to accomodate more items. It will not hold everything you need for a day out, but it could serve well as a grab and go bag with the main purpose of diapering. I also think it's cute enough to use as a purse.
I am always up for a great deal, so that added to my excitement about this bag! Now, I just need to decided which bag I'd like for my loaded, every day diaper bag. Petunia Pickle Bottom isn't cheap, but I view it as getting a really great purse that you'll use every day for a few years!
