4I did my homework  Mar 16, 2011
By Misha
I read every review I could find, and this stroller is all over the board when it comes to reviews. Read my best review here on Amazon so I'm going to write my own now that I have the stroller to help other Moms. I'll be honest I was a little scared after I bought this stroller because of the reviews. My fears were done after I opened it. I'll start from the opening.

So you open the box take it out pop the shades on and kids trays and your good to go. I loaded my 3 year old and 9 month old into the stroller and took her for a spin outside. This baby will corner on a dime, no problems with the weight of my older son and pushing it was just as smooth. Make sure you unlock the front wheels. They truly make this stroller. My little one can reach his feet and push himself up he loves it laughs.

I started playing with all the CONS I heard about the stroller.
Sunshades - This is an important feature to a stroller for me. I want something to cover the kids in rain and snow. So the shades will pull down and cover from sun. But if you pull it to far it will hit the kids face. Unlike the Pliko3 which can come all the way down to cover your child. I will admit I am disappointed in that feature. So I went online and bought a Rain Guard for the stroller problem is solved. covers there feet to so even better.
Adult Cupholder - Peg Perego is know for bad cupholders, I own a Pliko3 and its horrible this one is better than the Pliko but I can see the fault. I had an extra attachable cupholder and hooked it on problem solved and now I have two, if this one breaks I will get another attachable.
Child Cupholder - non exsisting, but I dont keep drinks in the front anyway so not a con for me, can see how it would be.
Squeeky Wheel - Haven't had this problem start yet but from reviews put some WD40 on it and call it a day.

Now PROS
Lightweight
Compact
Side by Side so your kids both have leg room. ( Front to Back double stollers are horrible the back child has no room and the front can't lay down. Dont even bother with one. I'm speaking from experience I sold my other double stroller to get a this one.)
Fits thru doors no problem at all. I haven't been shopping yet but The way this thing moves I really dont see a problem.
Traveling with this stroller will be amazing, whether I'm putting it in the car or airport check in, the way this thing folds down you just can't believe how small it gets.

Bottom line yes there are things people will not like about this stroller, but if you are sick of HUGE double stollers that cant fit in your car, can't push easily and your child has no room. This is the stroller for you.
Dont let the mixed reivews fool you. Unless the things I named really are an issue for you. But you aren't going to find a better stroller for less money, and spending $800 on a stroller is insane. Save the money.
The price is high BUT DO YOUR HOMEWORK, I bought mine for WAY LESS than retail. You can also find them used. I couldn't find one used but look into that method. There are Mom's out there like myself who take care of there baby stuff. I wish I had this stroller when I had the infant car seat I can see how awesome that would have been.

1so disappointed  Jun 05, 2010
By Elle
ahhhh where do I begin. I had such high hopes for this one.

Instead of this stroller, get the bumbleride twin if you can afford it (it's totally thin enough, don't worry :), or the joovy ergo (if you have a child willing to sit/stand).

Here's my review of the aria twin 2010......
- SHADE: the canopies look useless in the photo but they're actually nice & come all the way down to the tray. They don't go beyond the tray like the bumbleride twin, they go down to the side of the tray closer to the child. I don't know why they don't show that in the photos. the only thing is that they don't go 'out' far enough so when you pull it down all the way it goes right in front of their face. Kids don't like that. my kids duck their heads forward to the outside of the shade (does this make sense? like, the kids' faces are forward overtop of the tray b/c if they sat back the shade would be right in front of their faces. so I guess in that way the shade is useless. Oh, and the kids' legs are exposed.

- TRAY: the trays are easily removed and put back - just a button (not the same as the pliko p3 but similar). But there's a downside... (and this is a big but) ...The tray for the "40" seat is 1 inch wide. seriously. it's ~10 inches long and approximately 1 inch wide. (1 inch deep too). so if you line up 10 triscuits, that's the width and length of the indentation in the tray. I'm not kidding or exxagerating. no cup holder. the other tray (for the '60' seat is about 2 inches wide and has two tiny round sections for a cup on each end. really? do you think the older kid will let the younger kid put his cup on their tray? let me answer that for you. no. so the trays are there which is a plus, but the design is the worst I've seen.

- SEATS: seats are straight up & down which I LOVE. My kids don't like it when they can't sit straight up & down. (they do recline. they also fit big kids. with a 4year old & a 2 year old the seats were plenty big enough.

- MANEUVERABILITY: I was hoping to be able to turn it & push it with my pinky finger (like i can with my bob revolution or my bumbleride twin). nope. can't. it's fairly good steering & turning fully loaded but you still have to use 2 hands. ...and it has that catch up where the front wheels point in one direction and you want to go in the other direction, you have to reverse it & then push it forward. (happens with all strollers with double wheels in front). I had test driven the 2009 version & it pulled to one side horribly (whichever side had the heavier kid). This one doesn't. the 2010 model goes straight ahead. The scary part is that when you turn it, you can feel the whole frame twist like it's going to break. you can totally tell you're pushing a flimsy plastic stroller, (the frame is made of flimsy plastic, unlike the bob strollers or bumbleride or joovy ergo)

- COLORS: the one that looks beautiful blue and brown is not. it is this ugly gray stripe material and brown. there is absolutely no blue on it anywhere. it is very ugly. I mean very very ugly. it would've been pretty with blue & brown but they went with gray and brown which I wouldn't wear together if I were picking out clothes. and the gray is gray stripes. u.g.l.y.

- FIGHTING: there is no divider between the kids so they fight & have full access to eachother. Did I mention that the '60' kid has to share their extra cupholder with the '40' kid? not condusive to peace.

- DOORWAYS: it fits through a door but I definitely would not take this thing to the mall & expect to get around clothing racks. You'd be pushing and pulling the thing trying to get it to turn & it wouldn't fit anyway.

- STORAGE: looks good - I think I could actually fit some stuff down there. I could easily and comfortably fit 2 filled paper grocery bags down there to give you an idea. they would be easily accessable too. storage is a plus.

- HARNESS: they kept the harness design where the 5 point part of it is not secure. I don't know how to explain this properly - just think of it like this - there is only a 3 point harness. this stroller does not have a 5 point harness (it does but the top of the 5 point harness is not attached to anything so it's worthless. which is neither bad or good, it's just an observation. (actually it's only bad if you were hoping for a 5 point harness.

- FOLDING & UNFOLDING: easy to do

- WEIGHT & MATERIAL: you can lift it with one hand. very nice weight! ......oh, but the downside! when you turn this stroller, the whole thing is made of plastic so you can feel the entire frame torque. simply by turning a corner. the frame twists & I'm just waiting for it to snap. It won't but it feels like it will. I don't think this stroller would last long with my use.

anyhow, that's my review. here's my take on other strollers:

- gracos? too difficult to steer

- bob double? kids are reclined & no trays & storage is hard to get to (their trays are so poorly designed they are not worth buying) I have the bob revolution ($450 incl. accessories, great but only takes 1 kid & no useful cup holder (I bought the cup holder & it's worthless & the seats don't sit straight up)

- jane powertwin? great for kids under 1 year old but the seats still have to be removed to fold it

- baby jogger same problem as bob - kids are reclined (& they don't have good trays)

- kolcraft tandem? $200, it's a beast. super super heavy & you have to take the seats off (difficult) every time you fold it

- peg perego pliko p3 ($350, still use it but hard to steer),

- joovy caboose triple stroller ($400, too big for our suv - have to disassemble it for it to fit)

my 2 favorites are the joovy ergo sit & stand (i wrote a review on that one on amazon) & my favorite (which is the most perfect stroller I've ever tried & the only one I"ll ever need) is the ridiculously expensive bumbleride twin (I wrote a review for that one too).

4Nice for the money  Jun 23, 2010
By Amanda "Amanda"
This is a nice stroller. It was $[...] shipped and that is what ultimately made my decision over a few options. I love the Kiwi green and the material is nice. It pushes nice, but it has this weird squeak that I'm not too sure about. It goes trough doorways very easy. The storage is nice underneath because there is a lot of room. The adult cup holder is a pile of crap because it wont stay attached. So plan to have something else to hold you stuff. I use the clip that hold this cup holder to attach my keys to when I go for walks.

My ultimate one and only thing that I hate about this stroller is the lack of cup holders for the children. How hard would it of been to make this one simple addition to this stroller. My girlfriend has the older version and I was really hoping that this would be changed as many complaints that I read about this flaw. My oldest hold it in his lap, but our single stroller had a very nice tray with a cup holder plus a adult tray with cup holder.

The weight is wonderful and it does fold up easy and flip out easy. But for the money it is a nice stroller. Also the wheels are bigger in the back vs the older model and that is nice. Plus my girlfriend said a nice improvement was the front wheel being placed in the center. she said the older model tires get hung up on the back tires in the older model and once she spent about 20 minutes at the zoo trying to get this stroller unstuck. So that is a nice thing about the newer version if you are looking between the two.

Hope this helps, I would buy this stroller time and time again even with the few things I don't like.

5LOVE this stroller!!!  Mar 02, 2012
By J. Parmar
I have 7.5 children and have been through a fair share of strollers as the kids are all 1yr to 1 1/2 years apart in age. This stroller is perfect for trips to the store, doctor's appointments etc. It is VERY lightweight-folds up very flat. I love this since I need my truck space for groceries for 9.5 people. I can load up the truck with the stroller in it! The basket is a great size. No cup holders, but since I travel with a large crew, I put a large bottle of water or two in the basket for us all. The cup holder would be useless to me. I LOVE the 5 point harness. I saw a few reviews that scoffed at this-it is designed as a "freedom of movement". The kids can move around-without fear of falling or tipping the stroller-while still strapped in. This makes for happy kids! The frame is not plastic as one review said, but lightweight aluminum. I have no problems steering it-in fact, my 8 year old can do the job with 2 big kiddos in it. The seats recline nicely-I can change diapers while they sit in the stroller. It cleans very easily. My favorite part is that I can put the baby car seat in the "60" side, facing me. I have a Britax car seat and it fits perfectly. Now, if you are looking to go "off road" then I'd suggest getting one of the joggers or one with air wheels to do that. You can tell just my looking at the wheels that this stroller is meant for everyday use. I used it in downtown, cobble stoned Bamberg (we live in Germany with the military) and it was a dream. I didn't have to fight my way through people. One reviewer said they couldn't go shopping with it-and honestly, I can't get the regular shopping cart through racks of clothes. This one is really very narrow. At one point we had the Peg Perego Triple stroller. It was also great-but we just didn't need it anyone. We are an outdoorsy family, and once this new one is born and we are back out and about in the woods, I'll take my "off road" double (German brand) and put the baby in a baby bjorn. I recently, accidently drove over my Peg Perego Aria Twin 60/40 (I said it laid very flat right lol)and I did shed a few tears :) Now that number 8 is on the way, I'll be buying this again. It is a life saver and definitely worth the cost.

1NOT a safe product BEWARE  Dec 02, 2010
By Shanka
I bought this twin stroller from Peg Perego because I needed something for my daycare babies and I wanted to buy from a company that stands by their products. Well, I was totally wrong with this purchase. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase. To put it simply.. when I put my two daycare babies in the stroller (both 12 months old) and walk down the street I have to be very careful that I don't hit any bumps in the sidewalk. If I do the stroller has a tendency to flip forward. Sadly, I had this happen with both babies and had I not grabbed the handle really quickly both babies would have face-planted on the pavement.
I called Peg Perego and they said they'd take a look at the stroller for me. They sent me a box to send it back and that was the end of their customer service. They said they'd get Fed-Ex to pick it up and make arrangements since the shipping was covered under the still active warranty. 4 emails later... the box still sits on my porch. The stroller is not safe and they won't even respond to my emails. The customer service is terrible and they do not stand by their products at all. Buyer beware of this item and any other items from this company. I am very disappointed and have filed a complaint with Health Canada concerning the safety problem. Please do not buy this product. Your child could be injured very badly due to it's design.
