 Excellent stool and storage chest Feb 15, 2010

This is a very sturdy and attractive footstool. It's comfortable as either a stool or ottoman. It's a little heavy, but that's a reflection on its stability and good construction. The light blue color we got is pleasant and the surface is pretty easy to keep clean.
I would add a note of caution about the storage feature. The storage space is roomy and easily accessed by an adult by simply lifting the seat top. However, the seat top may be on the heavier side for toddler-age kids. If you have a toddler, you may end up using the storage more for stuff mom and dad want to get out of the way rather than as a toy chest for the kid's own use.

I bought the orange ottoman and was very excited to start using it as storage/coffee table in my living room. It worked great for a few days, but then the bottom piece fell out. The screws were so short that my husband had trouble trying to re-screw them into the thin particle board. In the end, we ended up using gorilla glue. The bottom hasn't given us any problems since then. I just wish it would have been manufactured a bit better than it was, especially for the price of the item.

I went through 3 shipments before I got an undamaged ottoman in the color I wanted. The first was blue. The second was red but was obviously damaged. Finally - I got the right one!
All that said, I love the ottoman and Amazon's customer service was fabulous!

I love this ottoman which came in a beautiful green. The reversable top is very handy when I need to set a drink down. The only problem is that it is hard to slide around on my hardwood floor but otherwise, I wouldn't trade this for anything else.

I have two of these ottomans in green. They would look elegant in any home. The flip tops make them functional as foot rests, extra seating, or coffee tables. I use them in my living room rather than kids room. I love them!
