Decent quality ruined by horrible packing Feb 24, 2011

Ordered this for my newborn baby's room along with the sparrow crib. Both the original and replacement shipments of this dresser were badly damaged due to seriously inadequate packaging. I don't know if this is the same packaging as from other retailers, but be warned that there is a high likelyhodd that if Oeuf does not improve the packaging this item will arrive damaged.

Unfortunately, I cannot wait for another replacement so I settled for a credit from Amazon for the damaged product. This is extremely disappointing to me as I hate spending this much on a piece of damaged furniture.

That all being said, the quality of the dresser is pretty good. The wood is high quality furniture grade plywood, veneers are clean and crisp and the drawer slides have actual ball bearings in them.

Hopefully Oeuf can get their act together b/c this does seem to be a good piece of furniture. It's unfortunate that its sophisticated design and construction was undermined by cheap packaging.
