Great transition cup for babies first sippy cup Jul 21, 2010
By Sandra Trolinger

This cup is impressive in the details from the curved handles to the indented lid so small noses don't get smashed while drinking their liquids. It is easy to see the liquid levels in the cup and even easier to REMOVE the handles if needed as the child matures. It is durable and when thrown on the floor there were no leaks. I also liked the easy grip sides on the cup for untwisting the lid and holding onto it to pour liquids in. This cup is perfect for a baby just learning how to use a sippy and even transitions as the child gets older as the handles can be taken off and the leakproof valve in the lid can be removed also. A nice durable product that I would definitely use as a baby shower gift for any expectant mom.

This sippy cup has it all Jul 20, 2010
By Jana Taylor I have purchased other OXO products in the past, and all met and exceeded my expectations. Not only were they inexpensive when compared to comparable products, but they in many cases were superior in quality. This sippy cup is no exception. I have tried many types of sippy cups with varying degrees of success and failure but this one is a winner. They designed this cup to be everything to everyone!
1. The actual spigot part where the liquid comes out has a rubber stopper with two positions, completely closed and then another that only lets liquid through when someone intentionally sucks through the nozzle. You can turn it upside down and it will not leak. If you do like leaks or want the liquid flow to increase you can use this thing without the rubber stopper.
2. The handles are removable. I love that.
3. There is measure in ounces and ml on the side of the cup if you are monitoring your child's fluid intake.
4. The whole thing is dishwasher safe (top rack)
5. the shape of the cup itself even without the handles attached really lends itself to small hands.
I highly recommend this sippy cup. OXO really thought of everything with this one.

My, how things have changed Aug 05, 2010
By Brian Baker I remember my daughter's first sippy cup; she's now almost 24. It was a basic white plastic cup with a snap-in lid and vertical plastic handles that were part of the cup body. About half the liquid would end up in her mouth, the other half anointing her immediate environs from the floor to about ¼ way up the walls.
My, how things have changed!
I got this cup to use when babysitting my 9-month-old granddaughter, and am very impressed.
This attractive cup has detachable ergonomically designed handles that are easy for young hands to grasp and manipulate, as well as making the cup very easy to clean. The body of the cup itself also has grip pads for times when you may decide to leave the handles detached. Other than the grip pads, the body's transparent so that you can see how much liquid remains inside.
The lid screws on securely, and features a concave recess that allows room for young noses to fit into while drinking, making it easier for tykes to use. The mouthpiece features a detachable flow-control valve, assuring the beverage ends up in the mouth and not on your floor.
It sounds simple, and pretty much a no-brainer, but if you remember the cups from "back in the day", things have come a long way.
This is a terrific product. Well done, OXO!

BEWARE! Oct 06, 2010

This cup has a great design and looks awesome.....BUT.....the valve on it makes it too hard for my 18 month old to drink from it. He's been using sippy cups since he was 8 months old and he cannot get the liquid out of this cup. So it's basically useless to me.
The removeable handles are a nice design feature, however the inside of the handle got spaghetti sauce on it and it's now stained on the inside and it won't come off.
Also, the company talks about how all the parts are inter-changeable so the cup can grow with your child......but you can't buy the extra parts without getting a completely new cup. Since the valve doesn't work, I don't even have the option to turn this into a training cup for him.....so again, another waste.
I'm a HUGE OXO fan and have their products throughout my entire house, but they missed the mark with these cups!!!

Horrible sippy cups Jun 22, 2011
By S. Hersey We were so disappointed by these cups. We love the style and function of the oxo brand and were excited to find these.
We bought two. The first one shattered when our toddler dropped it on a wood floor from a height of about 3 feet. That was ridiculous - our baby has dropped other sippy cups on cement and pavement and none of them even got a scratch.
Both of them would inexplicably leak horribly. We're smart people, we know how to screw a top on properly. But our toddler would end up soaked at least every other week. I just threw the cup into the recycling. Don't bother with these folks.
