Everything you need in a sippy Nov 19, 2010
By MDMama I have a 3-year old daughter so I have tried most of the sippy cups on the market by now. And one word comes to mind when I think of my experiences with them - annoying. Most of them said they were "leak-proof", but they lied (trust me, I have soaked wallets, purses, you name it, to prove it). They were also a pain to clean, I never knew how much liquid was in them, nor was I crazy about the cheeky designs (does everything have to have a princess theme if you're a girl? And don't get me started on the marketing of TV shows on every baby/toddler product out there.) The OXO sippy cups have managed to solve all of these problems for me. A short list of why I love them:
-They really don't leak -They are the easiest sippy cups to clean ever -You can see (and measure) exactly how much liquid is in there -They aren't cutesy at all
And my daughter loves them, which is just an added bonus. Trust me, this will be the last sippy cup you use. I'm looking forward to trying out the 7-ounce version on my 6-month old son next.

new favorite Nov 22, 2010
By J. Thompson just threw away our other sippy cups and will only use these now. these don't leak! plus, i can't tell you how many times a day i have to pick up the other cups to see if there's any drink left in them. this oxo cup is cute and it shows me what's in there (hey, i forget sometimes if i put milk/water/juice -- what can i say) and how much. they've been fine in my dishwasher and they look a lot better than the other cheesy cups i had.love them.

The best sippy I've found (at first - read edits) Oct 05, 2010
By Steven Rau

Let me start by saying that I'm not a big fan of OXO products. I find the large handles that are their trademark for their kitchen accessories to be a huge waste of dishwasher and drawer space. Nonetheless, I am aware that these guys do something right, and was optimistic enough to pre-order a couple of these sippy cups. My hunch has paid off.
First, the negatives: I have six of these now (three 11 oz, three 7 oz). One of them seems to have gotten a little warped in the dishwasher. The bottoms of all of these are sort of rounded, but one of mine is more rounded that the others. I don't remember washing it in the bottom section of the dishwasher, but it's likely that I did. (I have subsequently washed others on the bottom without harming them, for sure.) My other negative is that the sizes are just not right for my 16-month-old son. 7 oz is a little small, 11 oz is a little big. (Might be just quibbling, but that's what we're here for, right?)
And, even though it would almost certainly be ignored 98% of the time, some sort of lid to cover the part that little man puts in his mouth would be nice.
The positives surely outshine the negatives, though. The valves stay attached to the top of the cup better than any of the others that we've used. They will and do occasionally come off after the thing is dropped a few times, but they're better than the others I have used. Also, the top seems to be better for transitioning than some of the others that are currently popular. I loved the Weil Baby ones for a while, but they are ultimately too much like a bottle -- and once my dude figured out that he could poke the top inside out to readily spill his beverage, he was making a mess every time he used them. Can't do that with these. The tops are rigid plastic. They are also sufficiently difficult to unscrew that I'm not worried about my lad opening these cups by himself (yet...).
All in all, this is a very good sippy cup that washes well in the dishwasher. There's no fear of breakage. Gotta be BPA free. Can write on the side for daycare. And they look good.

11 November 2010 update:
My opinion of these cups has waned since my original review. After multiple dishwashings, the seal on one of my cups has begun leaking. Also, I'm no longer as confident that the stopper / valve stays in place any better than other sippy cups. Also, once they fall into milk, they are practically invisible. I have lost one out of the six I started with -- undoubtedly down the garbage disposal.
That said, I still like the cups better than most. My 17-month-old has had no problems using the cups as another reviewer indicates.

30 November 2010 update:
These cups just don't stand the test of time. After several weeks of ordinary use, they cannot be trusted not to leak. One cracked from the top to about halfway down the cup. They're good looking and I really liked them at first, but I will have to retire those I bought. I'd welcome any suggestions for the best sippy cup you've found.

11 April 2011 update:
At this point we've thrown all of these away. Not only did most of them leak, but the plastic shattered on three of them when my son would drop the cup onto our hardwood floor. We're done with these headaches.

Best Sippy I've Found Yet Mar 15, 2011
By SRLeide Having been a fan of the OXO kitchen gadgets, I opted to try their Tot Sippy Cups. I was looking for a new sippy cup for my 15 month old that would be easy for him to use, not leak, and not require incredible lung strength to drink from. (Maybe it's just me, but most sippy cups are incredibly hard to drink from.) Out of all the sippy cups I've tried so far, these by far are my favorite. The valve clips on easily and can be sipped from with no more effort than drinking through a straw. True, the valve will slip off after repeated bangings or droppings, but I find that happens with all sippy cups, no matter what. I do not put any of my sippy cups in the dishwasher, so I can't comment on how they hold up in there. I love that they're clear so I can see how much he's been drinking and what I actually gave him. The 11 oz. is a lot for my little guy to drink, so I just fill it up half way and all is well. My son seems very happy with it, I'm happy with it, and will likely be purchasing more of them in the near future.

Love this cup! Mar 05, 2011
By Discerning Mom My 13 month old has gone through several types of sippy cups, and so far he likes this one the most. I like that it's clear plastic so that he can see what he's drinking - formula or water. Some of the cups with characters just distracted him because they look like toys. He has an easy time drinking from these, unlike some cups that require so much sucking that I can't imagine how any baby would use them.
Easy-to-clean parts, and I like the measurements so that I can tell how much he's drinking. Wish they were even numbers instead of odd, since that's how most powdered formula is measured for mixing. So far, no leaks.
