 nothing's perfect, but this is great May 11, 2008

I've tried a couple different nursing covers and often use a shawl/scarf that I wear to match my outfit. NursEase may not match every outfit and isn't something you want to walk around wearing all the time but it's attractive, easy to use, and COVERS you completely and comfortably. Scarfs, blankets, and some covers I've tried are just too easy for a wiggly, active, nursing baby to knock off, exposing you to some embarrassing "wardrobe malfunctions." With this shawl you have at least one hand free, you're comfortably covered, it's pretty easy to peek down at the baby. The only problem is you need one hand to hold the elastic top open to see baby, and sometimes, especially when you're just starting out, you need be able to see and also need both your hands to get baby latched on correctly, which is not possible with this shawl. I'd this is a valuable, helpful, fun addition to you nursing gear, but don't expect it to be perfect in every situation.
PS- If you pull it down around your hips it makes a nice skirt.

I found that this product does the job admirably- it covers me easily and my sister said that you wouldn't know that I was nursing if I didn't keep checking on my baby. I really like the print, the fabric is soft and light, I don't have to worry about an accidental flash and the little pocket is handy. Maybe there are features that it could include but doesn't and I don't have any experience with anything else, but overall, I am very pleased and consider this an essential any time I leave the house with my baby.
