2Cute But Flimsy and Lame  Aug 07, 2009
By H. Chung
I would not recommend this product. I got the Sleepy Safari mobile to go with the entire Sleepy Safari blanket organic set. The design is cute but very FLIMSY (the square part where the animals dangle from seems to be made of cardboard inside). Moreover, the music lasts only 4 minutes!!! I even timed it several times to see if this was for real. I felt like I had to keep winding the mobile -- and winding it made a loud cranking noise that woke the baby up. Also, the base that attaches to the crib is flimsy too. I feel like the entire mobile will fall over and land on the baby's head. It's a pricey product but a real piece of junk.

1Looks nice but not practical at all  Jan 25, 2010
By S. V. Rubio "SVR"
I got the mobile to have the all Nature's Purest Sleepy Safari set complete, and when I saw my baby's nursery I loved it... but... once the baby starts using the crib for real I realized that: 1. Babies love bright colors and since the mobile is all neutral the baby doesn't really look at it. And when she does, looses interest the next second 2. The music lasts very little and to wind it is tiresome and noisy. 3. It looks better in the picture that in real life.4. It keeps the "folded" shape that it had when it was on the package, so it never gets the squared shape it is supposed to have. I would not recomend anybody to buy the mobile, except for placing nurseries for photos (!). The crib bedding is beautiful and great (although the little "suns" attached to it by a string are hazardous for baby, I have to hide them), and since the color is neutral you can buy any bright colored mobile and it will match perfectly, instead of spending this money on this one.

2Looks Cute but doesn't perform to Par  Sep 05, 2011

First, I want to say, I love Nature's Purest Sleepy Safari design. It is neutral enough that it can work for a girl or a boy. I also love that it is made of organic cotton. This particular item's downfall is it only lasts for a short time. My daughter loved watching it, but she would cry the second it stopped. If it lasted a longer I would give it a 3 or 4.

4very cute, but not a tool to get baby to sleep!  Jun 24, 2011

I was having trouble finding a mobile that hung from the ceiling, something I really really wanted, and one that matched our theme of neutral colors with giraffes somewhere on it. I actually purchased this off of Target.com, which their website specifically stated that it could hang from the ceiling, so I ordered it. Well nowhere on the packaging did it say it could be hung from the ceiling, which was very irritating, and it didn't come with anything extra to hang from the ceiling either. We rigged it the way I wanted it regardless, hah. Overall, it is very cute, and could match several of the popular themes/color schemes that are out right now. I wasn't worried about something sturdy for my son to play with - we have other toys for that, more just something that matched his room and looked cute, so it fits the purpose I was looking for. It is sturdy tho and has a few dangly things that are small and could probably rip off, so I wouldn't hang it low enough for your child to actually play with - another plus of hanging it from a thin chain from the ceiling: you can raise the height as baby grows so they don't grab at it and break it. Also, the other review on here is so right, the song doesn't play for very long and to wind it up is sooo loud, it would wake up a sleeping baby. Infact, even when my son was awake one time, the loud winding of the music thing scared him. That's only happened once though... I use the mobile more of a distraction for my son, something to keep him happy for a few minutes while I lay him in his crib so that I can fold his laundry or clean something for a couple minutes. He watches it, and listens to the cute little song. Definitely not a tool to get baby to sleep. Check out the Cloud B Gentle Giraffe or their other similar products if that is what you are looking for, a sleep soother that is.
