Formaldehyde treated fiber fill Dec 31, 2010
By peony99 This product is advertised as natural, and claims to be produced without harmful chemicals, but the polyester fill is treated with formaldehyde resin, used as a flame retardant. The only hint of this fact is on the tag on the inside of the sleeper, which reads "RESIN TREATED" but doesn't mention the word "formaldehyde;" I had to call Summer Infant, the producer of "Nature's Purest," to clarify that the product is indeed treated with formaldehyde. I will not wrap my baby in formaldehyde resin, and resent the misleading marketing of this product.

Great Purchase Jul 01, 2009

After trying to find a reasonably priced organic sleep sack I found this one which was by far the least expensive compared to others. It is super soft and has stayed super soft without getting all nubbly after 6 months of wash and use. It is the perfect weight; not too bulky or heavy but still warm and comforting. I have two and just keep them in rotation. Buying two is important since they do not go in the dryer. But it is well worth it. One of my favorite baby items (and baby Jack loves it too!).

Very soft and warm, but the size was too small (0-3 months), had to return it.
wish zipper zipped down Jan 25, 2011
By Glee I had wanted to purchase a sleepsack similar to the one from a Halo brand layette set. In contrast to the Halo sleepsack, this sleeper is made of material that is much thicker and better for the cooler evenings (probably too warm for summer). The greatest drawback is that unlike the Halo sleepsack, this sleeper doesn't zip from top to bottom and consequently is less convenient to check for a wet diaper etc. Otherwise, both this sleeper and the Halo sleepsack are good substitutes for blankets, made of organic cotton, and good quality, having lasted 2 months of frequent use and washing.
