Great for babies who refuse to sleep during the day! Mar 17, 2011
By Annie
"anniep625"
I bought this newborn lounger in the green minky fabric and my then 3 month old daugher went from sleeping for maybe 45 minutes in her crib to almost 90 minutes in the Nap Nanny. My daughter had reflux (and still does) and this product totally helped her sleep better. Sometimes she'd wake up after she'd been sleeping for about 45 minutes, but in most cases she'd go back to sleep within 5 or 10 minutes. I always left the Nap Nanny on the floor and close to the closed door. I really wish I would've bought this sooner. I highly recommend it especially to all first time moms especially if you are going to have more than one child.
The fabric is easy to wash too and it comes out looking great. I washed it on cold and hung it dry.

New concern about this product Apr 03, 2011
By jessica0206 My son has been sleeping very well in the nap nanny for about 3 months now. He is almost 6 months old and has bi-lateral club feet. This was the only product that allowed him to get a solid stretch of sleep because sleeping on his back in his crib puts pressure on his hips and back. The reason this product only gets 3 stars as opposed to 5 is because it doesn't have a 5 point harness syatem, which is really the only way to keep an infant safe in any sort of infant seat. Twice now he has woken up screaming from his sleep because he was able to manipulate his little body sideways so that his head was hanging off the side of the nap nanny. If I weren't so freaked out by the sight, I would have taken a picture of this for all parents to see and be aware of. It's really a shame because we did love this product and it would have gotten 5 stars if it had the proper harness system.

Not as "Safe" as they claim it to be Nov 18, 2011
By love2shop I feel obligated to warn parents about this product. Although it does seem super comfy and very convenient it is NOT SAFE. I will be returning my $100 Nap Nanny ASAP! My almost 4 month-old baby has worked his way out of the harness twice. Once I found him completely rolled over with his face down and neck all bent up in it and last night he rolled completely off of it and was laying on the floor next to it! It was very scary and I felt awful. He could have really hurt himself or even suffocated himself. They need to make a better way to secure the baby into it. What are you supposed to sit there and watch the baby take a nap in it the whole time? Naps are the only time parents can actually get something done. Even though he did seem to like it, I will be putting my baby in the crib where I know he'll be safe!

We LOVE our Nap Nanny Apr 28, 2011
By Mommy24monkeys Nap Nanny is the best purchase we have ever made. My little one has really bad colic and naps were the worst for him. He would sleep maybe five minutes before he would wake up screaming his head off. We tried his swing, the bouncer and the only thing that seemed to work was laying on me. That was fine for awhile but having multiple children it is hard to do that during the day. We bought our nap nanny and this worked wonders. He actually falls asleep 5 minutes after he is in it and sleeps for almost 2 hours. This allows me to put him on the floor and do things around the house while he is sleeping. We use this a lot for feeding as well. He reclines in his nap nanny and we get on the floor and feed him. It has also allowed his sisters to feed him as well, without being worried they might drop him or aren't supporting him enough. He gets to bond with his sisters and he enjoys it. He is always within my eye range because I have read the stories, like the previous reviewers, but thankfully I have not experienced any of that. I also like that if he spits up and some gets on the cover I can just toss it in the machine, hang it up to dry and good as new. I also like that they have many different colored covers.

Expensive, but worth it... Sep 19, 2011
By Sunocean18 My son suffered from refulx and did not want to sleep on his back. I tried his bassinet and even tried inserting blankets underneath the mattress to creat a 30 degree angle and this still didn't work. He would sleep in his bouncy chair but only for one hour increments. My husband and I were very sleep deprived and desperate. After searching online, we came across the Nap Nanny. Of course, our first thought was this product was WAY over priced. It's literally a piece of foam. However, it worked the first night we used it. Our son slept three hours straight! That was sweet glory for us! Our son is now 9 weeks old and is sleeping 5 hours without interruption. I would highly recommend this product.
