Not 100% organic Nov 09, 2009
By Christal Anne Bardfield
"quilt lover"
If you are looking for a 100% organic pillow then this is not for you. Only the cover of these are organic...not the filling! I went with the "Nesting Pillow" by Blessed Nest. It has an organic cover, and is filled with 100% organic buckwheat hulls. Plus it has a versitile design that makes it usable after you are done breastfeeding. Don't be misled by organic covers!

Great support! Aug 06, 2010
By Agammer I received this pillow as a gift for my first baby and have used it for all 3. It provides excellent support which is especially important for a newborn. I also have a Boppy and used that as well, but the Breast Friend was my preferred pillow when the babies were very young. I read the reviews about natural materials and while I agree that it is important to pay attention to the materials near our babies, once the pillow gasses off, after a few days out of the package, the organic cover is all baby will be in contact with. Wash the cover in a cold, delicate cycle and hang to dry before use. As a child development specialist and an eco-conscious mom who has done a lot of research, I have no concerns about this product.

Not a healthy choice for baby Dec 02, 2009
By Sienna A. Flynn My Brest Friend Deluxe Pillow, BlueWhen I got this nursing pillow in the mail, I tried it on and it was very comfortable, but the materials that's it's made of are toxic and not good for babies to be breathing. The shell or cover is made of 100% polyester and the foam pad is made of polyurethane. Both of these materials are harmful to baby according to many studies. I would not recommend this product.
extremely comfortable! Jan 15, 2012
By HeatherAnne this is so comfy for nursing! i like the firmness in it too so it holds my baby up without lettin him squish in and make me reposition 100 times like a boppy did. i like that it wraps around my back caz it created a cushion on the bottom of my back that normally ached after nursing but not with this pillow!!! i requested this at my shower and was lucky enough to get two lol. i seriously would recommend this over other nursing pillows. ive tried three others and this by far surpasses them. i would however like to say that its not AS comfy for plus sizes as it doesnt wrap fully around your back. (i had a friend try it)
Way better than a Boppy! Sep 02, 2011
By C. Lucia OK, so I was a little turned off by the name brand of this pillow... I mean really, "My Brest Friend" ??? OY. But, truly, this pillow saved my life when I was breastfeeding my baby. It has a stronger support for holding my child than a Boppy (which is really just a funny shaped pillow that gets flat and useless with age). Which basically means it has a stronger support for a mom's arms, neck, and back too. It has a wrap around belt system (that is adjustable to fit almost any size woman) that allows you to move around a bit with it so it doesn't fall off or shift while you are feeding your baby. There's nothing worse than getting settled in with your baby, your pillow, your burp cloths, your breast pumping materials, your remote control, etc. to start a feeding session and then have to move everything because you forgot your cell phone on the other side of the dining room. With this pillow, just stand up with the baby on the pillow, hold on tight, and walk! It wraps around enough so that you can breast feed with the baby in front of you or in the "football" hold on your side. It has pockets on the side to keep burp cloths, etc. and the covers come off easily for washing and come in many different colors and soft textures. I never went anywhere without this pillow in my house. It definitely ranks in my top three things a mom must have for a new baby.
