Pain to clean but otherwise fine Feb 05, 2009
By Curious Cristine My son has had a problem drinking from a real cup, so it's perfect for him to have a sippy straw cup thats also spill proof. They can be a pain to clean but to me it's worth it. I take the extra 2 minutes out, to run the straw under hot water until the water runs completly clear. They are bright colors, but I have good eyes and can clearly see if there is anything in the straw to clean. If you get to them before they have had a chance to sit around long, it isn't a problem either. I am a very clean person, so I get to it right away. Also there are replacement straws too. I am buying more right now. :)

Read the instructions, but these are awesome! May 19, 2010

We were big fans of the first iteration of the Playtex Insulator Sport. When the new version came out, however, we were sorely disappointed. After cleaning up leak after leak, we looked for another insulated straw cup, and found these at BJs. They're fantastic! Read the instructions first, because the cups are easy to clean and reassemble, provided you snap the little piece off the top of the cap before feeding the straw through the whole. Keep one assembled cup out of the package, and use it as a model while you practice putting the cup back together. You'll have it down in five minutes, and it will be well worth the time.
Another tip: Don't forget to squeeze the valve on the soft straw to activate it. The reviewer who says she couldn't get anything through the straw probably skipped that step. Squeezing opens the valve to allow liquid to pass through. Again, this is in the instructions.
We've been using these for several weeks now, and no leaks whatsoever. These have been such a welcome change at our house! The only detraction is that they're a little topheavy, so they may tip over if your child bumps the cup, but it doesn't matter to us because they haven't leaked yet, even when dropped.
Bottom line: love these, and they're BPA free!
sucks! Mar 26, 2009
By J. Cheng they leak around where you screw the caps on. my stroller and diaper bag smell like regurgitated cheese! had to throw the fancy $40 bag out because i couldn't get the smell out.
and, the most annoying thing: my kid sucked and sucked til she turned red. nothing came out. i let her try another cup. same thing. then, i tried all 3 of them myself, my mouth was hurting before a drop of liquid came out!
i then tried to widen the hole in the straw to ease the flow. of course they are even less leak-proof now!
the bases are smaller than the top, making these sippy cups top heavy. most cup-holders on strollers, etc, are designed to hold bigger cups. these simply fall off the stroller at any bump.
they suck!!!!!
Needs some modification Mar 21, 2009
By D. Taylor My son drinks from these cups extremely well but they leak. The leaks are not in the normal places around the straw but where the lid screws onto the cup. Then when you tighten the lid the lid cracks. We've had this happen to two of the cups we bought.

We couldn't even get the straw into the 2nd hole to even try it. I returned the 2nd one I bought and am throwing the other one away. Don't waste your money!
