This is the perfect size for a baby's hands. I bought this lovey as opposed to other products because I wanted something organic (since you know it goes right in baby's mouth!). Cute monkey, and thick enough material that it seems very durable. (Note: this is a lovey not a blanket; if you are looking for a full-sized blanket this is not the product you want.)

I agree, I like that it's made with all natural dyes; since our 4 month old loves to suck on the monkey's ears. I love the blankie b/c when he is fussy, I can "trick" him into relaxing before bedtime (vs when I try to start with the pacifier he knows I'm getting ready to put down which usually leads to a crying fit). My niece and nephew have the miYim chicken rattles and both kids cling to them at night as well. So for all three babies, miYim blankie or rattle has been their choice in comfort bedtime toy.... much to our surprise.
*** The only downside is you SHOULD expect all of the miYim products to fade*** There doesn't seem to be a way around it... but I hand wash ours and my sister throws hers in the washer with the other laundry; so ours has faded less than hers.

I've ordered 3 of these for my kid. I've washed them many, many times and they still retain their quality.

I hand washed this upon receipt and the monkey head smelled for a few days (earthy rainy smell), I guess it took a while to dry out inside. Other than that, no smell or color fading. I chose this one because it's organic and my 6 month old chews it all the time. Good workmanship, solid item. 4 stars only because of the head smell - but then I didn't tumble dry it either, it was hung to dry.

We are in the middle of sleep training our son, and needed a "transition object" to help him self-comfort. We received the Miyim Lovie as a gift, and loved it so much we bought several more as backup.
It's a great choice because it's small and easy to grasp, but interesting enough for him to want to hold on to it. And it's great that it's organic and non-toxic, because it spends a lot of time in his mouth...
