My favorite playard...one caveat Jan 07, 2011
By Barbsjemms I agree this playard is really confusing to put up and take down! When you put it up, you have to be careful not to allow the bottom to flatten out before you get all four sides popped into place. Once all four sides are clicked into place and forming a rectangle, then you can push down the center and drop in the mattress. Reversing the process is even worse. There is a circular plastic part in the center of the floor under the mattress that you are supposed to twist and lift before collapsing the sides. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do this, and I'm a mom of seven! Then I noticed there is actually a little handle-lever that you are supposed to lift up from the center circular part. Nowhere in the directions did I notice this lever. It seemed like they wanted you to twist the entire circle to release the legs and floor. Once you pull that lever and the bottom collapses inward, you can pop down the sides. Just be careful to get both interior buttons pushed on each side so that each side will fully fold up.
I've gone through 5 different portacrib playards in the past 20 years. This one is my favorite. It's slightly bigger (wider) than Graco so an older toddler can sleep comfortably when traveling. It's considerably lighter to carry (16lbs vs 22lbs). No bells and whistles (changing tables or other unnecessaries) and the price is fantastic. Minus a half star for complicated folding requirements and another half star off for crappy directions.

Great playard Sep 14, 2010
By Eleni Koros I was hesitant to purchase this as there were no reviews posted however I am so happy that I did. It is well priced and has excellent value. Most of the play yards were over priced in my opinion. This one has plenty of room and it is shaped in more of a rectangle which I found was more appealing to my little one as he likes to hold on to the sides and walk along the edge. It is very sturdy and closes easily. Haven't packed it to go anywhere just yet but we are very happy with it. It was shipped very quickly as well! Definitely would recommend it.

I like it better than Graco Jan 03, 2011
By Holly Bakes I am a mom of 3 little ones under the age of 4... and I've owned 2 standard graco pack n plays, the colorful square graco totbloc, and now this. I love this play yard. It seems to be lighter than a graco, but is sturdy. The pad is soft. You can't see it well from the pictures, but the design is really nice. It's little white leaves on stems. This play yard is a little bigger than a standard graco, but smaller than the totbloc. It's a good size for us and I only wish I had found this 4 years ago and registered for it for my baby shower. I really do like this better than any of the gracos I've owned. It folds easily, but read the directions. It's a little different than folding a graco. Just one thing. Make sure you order this from the page that says free shipping. When I did an amazon search for this, the only one that came up was from an outside seller, so I paid shipping. Then when I came back later to re-read the review, it came up as free shipping through amazon. So, make sure you get the free shipping. Not sure what happened to me. It was weird, I was annoyed, but I'm over it now. Just want to warn others. Anyway, this is a great product, a great price, and I could not possibly love this play yard more than I do. Just a plain and simple product that does its job well. Couldn't ask for more.

Okay product, but heed this simple trick to set it up Jul 27, 2011
By John H. Kelly We found it odd that some purchasers of this product found it very easy to set up, while others found it impossible. Indeed, we could not get the railing latches to lock, and were just about to return the product, when we realized what the problem was: sometimes, it is delivered to the customer with the circular floor joint ("unlock device") ALREADY LATCHED, thus making it IMPOSSIBLE to straighten out and latch the side rails. Thus, the instructions to set up the product SHOULD begin like this: "1. Make sure the circular floor joint is unlocked, by turning the semi-circular plastic tab to the right. This should cause the floor to raise up, rather like a pyramidal tent."

Great product at an incredible price Dec 03, 2010
By L. Shaw The playard is obviously a no-frills playard, but perfectly suits my needs. I purchased this for my 10 month old daughter for a few out-of-town trips planned. It is extremely easy to set up and breakdown, but I will say that I had a little difficulty mastering the directions on the breakdown. The instructions say to simply lift up and push down. On the sides of the playard there are white arrows indicating where to lift. Right underneath them there is a button which needs to be held in before you can push down the side. Once you have figured out that trick, it is a piece of cake.
