Not so facil, the Facile Sep 25, 2008
By Tristan J Tarwater We purchased this stroller shortly before our daughter's 1st birthday. In the 6 months since we have received it, here are the problems we have encountered:
1. The stroller unexpectedly closes suddenly, with my child still sitting it. This has happened while crossing the street, but mostly happens when going up onto curbs. 2. The back right wheel has popped off. We can get it back on but it is obviously loose and sometimes rolls off and away. 3. The two little plastic...button type things that go in the handles are not very secure. We're missing one. 4. One of the hinges that help it open is already cracked. My husband and I don't toss this thing around. We put our daughter in it and go for walks. This amount of wear seems ridiculous for the amount of time we've had it.
In addition, if your kid likes to sit up all the way, the seat does not go forward that far. My daughter gets out of the shoulder straps very easily and the fact that the leg rest has to be up for it to fold properly is annoying. We're still using it but looking for another affordable stroller in the meantime. As soon as we get one, we're chucking this one. Do not buy if you want something that will last.

Love this stroller! Oct 04, 2008

Before I bought this stroller, I scoured the internet for umbrella strollers. I really didn't want to spend $100+ on an umbrella stroller so this price was great. My husband and I are both tall, and this stroller is perfect. Neither of us has to hunch over, and my husband is 6'1" I like that it reclines too which has come in handy when my son falls asleep on outings. We did buy a bigger sun shade since we are in TX. However, the sun shades on all umbrella strollers are too small for the south. Anyway, my son loves this stroller, he seems very comfortable in it, it's sturdy, and it does offer a smooth ride.

Wheels aren't very sturdy. Nov 12, 2009

I bought this for my newborn and it worked great for awhile. There was a little piece that was broken on the stroller when we got it, but it didn't seem to affect the use. The stroller worked well enough, but I noticed the outer back wheel sort of wobbled. We got the stroller last year right around halloween and the back wheel broke while trick-or-treating this year. That is quite unfortunate when you are not very close to your car. My son is not heavy. He is now 13 months and weighs almost 22 lbs. My favorite part about the stroller was the little extension for the legs so that his little feet didn't dangle. Not many strollers have that feature so, I will miss that. I won't be ordering a Mia Moda again.

Serious umbrella stroller will go the distance Aug 02, 2011

This stroller stands out for 2 reasons:
1) it reclines!!! And I mean almost flat! The ability to recline means that your child will SLEEP from a fairly young age in this stroller and you will get long service from this stroller. The back reclines almost flat and there is a foot rest. Together these features create a virtually horizontal surface for your baby. Plus, the five-point restraint keeps the baby safe and snug at any angle.
2) it is well built and tall enough for people of normal height. Yes, you can buy an umbrella stroller atBabies R Us for 10 bucks. If you do that, you will find yourself stooping and hunching over a questionable contraption that seems to threaten to collapse at any moment. The Mia Moda is very sturdy and works for me at 5'9" and my wonderful spouse at 5'3". The frame is strong, the wheels are decent and there is a brake on both back wheels. Use your brakes!! A great safety feature.
Our girl is a tiny peanut and when she hit 6 months and a whopping 8 pounds, the harness adjusted to secure her and she has slept her way through many a pleasant adult dinners completely comfy and safely secured.
It is a little heavy, but there is no danger of collapse and it is quiet and solid to roll along all sorts of surfaces. The one drawback is the teeny, tiny canopy. In truth, no stroller comes with an adequate canopy--especially umbrella strollers. You can buy fabulous adjustable canopies for under 10 bucks, that fit any stroller, so shop around for one.

We love this stroller. It is nice and light and it reclines for baby's nap. It has a nice sunshade and little net basket. We especially love how the seat can expand to have baby's legs rest. Great price for a great umbrella stroller
