Develop Your Repertoire with True Notes

The Pink Piano stands apart from many other toy pianos in its similarity to full-size pianos. The shape of the piano is very similar to that of a full-size upright, giving children the sense that they are learning just like the grown-ups. The pink color gives a vibrant, yet delicate, look to this toy, and the paint used has passed all product safety regulations.

The keys play true notes, just like a real piano, and children will begin to understand the way those keys feel under their little fingers. While learning to strike the keys--first to make sounds and later to make songs!--children start to master their fine motor skills as they exercise each and every finger.

Learn Music with Labeled Keys and Songbook

The Pink Piano holds two full octaves of keys so children can experiment over a wide range of pitch. There is also a multicolored guide along the keys that labels each key with its corresponding note. This key guide corresponds with the included Songbook for the Beginning Musician, teaching children to learn such well-known songs as "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with ease.

5What a wonderful hit!!!  Aug 26, 2005
By Jackie O
What a hit this was with my two daughters (3 and 5)!

This is the perfect size for them and has sparked their interest in music. The color coded music book and key card give them a great sense of accomplishment when they play an actual song!

They were the big hit at our last family gathering.

Everyone was impressed that our daughters could actually "make music", and were equally impressed with the quality of the piano.

No one believed me when I told them how little it cost! A++!

1Came with broken top  Feb 01, 2012

This product came from China with a broken top. My guess is that if Melissa and Doug were to build their toys in America, they would be able to provide a product that would be of higher quality.

4Cute piano, but 'noisy' keys...  Mar 25, 2012
By nicolle31
We bought this for our 3 year old daughter recently for her birthday and it is a great beginner paino. The glossy pink paint is fun and the piano seems durable and heavy. She could use it as a stool if needed... They playbook/colored note strip is nice and my 3 year old and 5 year old are starting to pick up on the color/letter combinations and finding the right keys. I have the piano on a raised fireplace surround and they sit on their knees to play it. Seems comfortable enough.
The only complaint I have is the 'key noise' going on inside the piano when you push a key. It sounds like a rubbing or scratching noise from the key hitting something padded inside the piano. It is loud and distracting from the sound of the note being played. The overall sound is just right though, but I wish it was a cleaner note and not muffled by the noise of the components inside the paino. (I am suprised no one else commented on this issue in their review...as it is very noticable.) Kids don't seem to mind though. Also, there is nothing to hold the song book. We just sit it half-open on top of the paino. Some type of book holder would be nice. After a lot of research and reading other reviews, I decided on this one over the Schoenhut 25 key. There is not much of a price difference, but the reviews seems more favorable for the Melissa and Doug model.

3Tiffie's mom  Dec 04, 2005
By Tiffie's mom
I bought this piano as a christmas gift for my 20 months old daughter. I became very disappointed when I saw the same exact model, but different color on display at a toysrus store. As curious as I am, I decided to play a few keys to hear what it sounds like. The sound quality was very poor. Although pretty for a little girl, (...)isn't worth it. So, I've decided to return it and purchase a keyboad piano from toysrus online (...)!!!!!I've given this piano three stars because that model could have been damaged.
