My 20 mo. old twins love this and the penguin toy. It is easy to push and rewarding with the flapping wings. The wings do not readily flap when pulled instead of pushed, but that doesn't at all deter the babies for reaching for this toy many times a day. The penguin push toy (I also reviewed) flaps its wings easily when pushed or pulled, but since the wings are shorter than the duck they don't flap as hard, which the babies don't mind either.

I think this toy would be great for 18 months and up, keeping in mind the height of the toy it may be too short for some toddlers. But, for now, my babies continue to enjoy these toys and love pushing and pulling them around.

Made of solid wood and durable, these as well as any toy, require supervision. Babies may learn to swing these in the air or ram them into furniture. So far, we haven't had any accidents and it's very rewarding for me to watch my babies play with a classic toy.

Normally, all of the products I purchase from this vendor are a "hit" with my grandson. Sadly, this was a bit of a flop for Easter. He was only one year old at the time, but he didn't seem to find it entertaining in any way. The product itself is made well enough and seems durable and safe. I think it would need to make some quacking sound to attract a baby's attention.
