5great fabric  Jul 23, 2011
By M Agah
We hated our Graco car seat for my son. So, we looked for a new seat for my second child. Safety, comfort and the feel of the fabric was very important to me. Our baby is an August baby, so I was looking for something she can seat in with short sleeves and shorts rubbing her skin to the car seat and not get scratched and be able to breathe. I looked at all models, Chicco, Graco, PegPreggo and Maxi Cosi (this year's model, I am not sure about old versions) was the best. It has a cotton feel and much nicer and more breathable than all others. It is not for families with big kids because the max weight is 22lb. However, I don't like to carry a big baby in a car seat anyway. So, I will move her to a big rear facing car seat when she hits 22lb. On the down side, it is harder than Chicco to put in the base. Taking out for both of them is easy. You have to make sure the handle is out, otherwise, it won't click. For Chicco, you don't need to check anything. This is, I guess, very important, but having had one child, I think I can handle this. I rather have a light weight comfy and nice looking car seat. Ours is in intense red and is very vibrant and beautiful. I will try to update this after we try it with our daughter in less than a month!

5awesome infant carrier!  Feb 24, 2012
By Courtney Levesque
We have this infant carrier in Steel Gray for our daughter. The color is slightly darker than what is pictured, but is very nice looking. Hands down, I love this carseat, here's why:
- the fabric is very nice as has good padding.
- easy to remove the cover for cleaning. (My daughter spit up all over herself and the seat, but I was able to easily remove the harness straps and the cover and hand wash everything (machine wash is not recommended), I then rolled the cover in a towel to dry it as much as I could and put it in the dryer on low heat to fully dry)
- seat is very lightweight. I think it's about 8 pounds
- the handle is a smooth seamless piece and is comfortable to grip.
- the handle can be in any locked position while in the car (according to the maxi-cosi website).
- the giant warning label about airbags, carseats, and putting kids in the back was sewn onto the side of the seat instead of thermal printed. I was able to remove the label easily. (I am not an idiot, I read the label, I just don't feel that it needs to be in my child's face whenever she is in the carseat lol)
- the stay-in-car base has a tilt adjuster. This was really nice because my back seats are fairly angled, but I was able to adjust the base so the seat was level.
- Newer models (the pattern with the circles) of this carseat have standard metal buckles that can be inserted individually. When this seat was first released in the US, it had a puzzle lock where the two pieces had to be fit together and then inserted, but now it is like most other carseat buckles.
- the canopy is nice. it doesn't take up a lot of space and stays where you put it. Previous versions of this seat had a bulky canopy that reviewers often complained fell down.
- this seat, when paired with a Quinny Zapp makes a really slick travel system!
- you can adjust the straps easily with the button at the front of the seat. this makes it really easy to put the baby in, tighten the straps properly, and when it comes time to remove the baby, you just push the button at the front and pull gently on the straps at the chest clip area to loosen.
- the seat is really easy to install without the base using just the seatbelt.
- the seat fits on an airplane. we flew jetblue down to Orlando and purchased a seat for the baby. I was able to easily secure the seat rear facing using the airplane seatbelt (same install as in a vehicle). The carseat did not hit the airplane seat in front and I was able to have the armrests down.

My only minor complaints:
- the level line on the seat can be a bit hard to see. It was easiest to use a flashlight and a bubble level to get the right angle for the base. Make sure the seat is level before you secure the base with LATCH or the belt.
- only goes to 22 pounds, but if it had a higher weight limit it would be bigger and heavier.

*** Update *** : My daughter is almost 9 moths old and we have now switched her to a rear-facing convertible seat. She still fits in the Mico, but the convertible seat (a Combi Coccoro) takes up less space in my car. She still has about an inch of height and 2 pounds to go before she would outgrow the Mico. My guess is that if we continued using the Mico, it would last us another month or two.

5GREAT car seat all around  Sep 23, 2011
By amazoner
This is a great car seat. I requested it on my baby registry and am so happy someone actually bought it. I have it in sugar coral for my baby girl. I use it with the Quinny stroller. This car seat is made very well. I love the feel of the fabric and the ease of use. I have no troubles with washing the seat cover or adjusting the straps. My baby grew quickly and you just push a button and the straps adjust easily. My baby sleeps in it for hours and she is quite content. Great product, easy to use, looks great, and comes in awesome colors!

5beautiful seat, not too "baby" looking!  Dec 11, 2011
By MP "punkytahno"
Love this seat, light in weight and looks sophisticated. I have two of these for my twin baby girls. I am using two of these seats with my Seagrass Bumbleride Indie Twin.
BTW the bubble pattern on this is aqua and the grey is a bit darker then the manufacturer photo posted here, I posted one of my own photos.

4Our baby seems to like it.  Oct 09, 2011
By Thomas Lin "taction"
This is our first infant car seat, and we kind go it because we want to get a bugaboo stroller. So our options are limited.
We picked this because of its slim profile. To our surprise, our baby actually enjoy it because she feels secure seat in it. In 4 months, we already have to adjust the position of over shoulder belt twice. (it's awesome to see how quickly our baby growing up Over all, we're and happy is happy with it.

One wired thing tho (to me)., the car base is only tight down on one end instead of both ends. I finally look up in user guide, and it's as designed.
