The MAM ulti-vent wide mouth transition bottle system is designed to be as close to breast-feeding as possible in a reusable bottle. All MAM bottles are constructed of bisphenol -a free materials. The orthodontic nipple is made of ultra soft silicone and encourages baby to use a natural suckling action similar to breast-feeding. The ulti-vent valve is sensitive enough to ensure baby a constant, air free flow of liquid. Removable bottom makes bottle clean up a snap. The new one-piece MAM valve is highly sensitive to baby's suckling, assuring a constant, air-free flow. Your baby will feed quietly for longer, uninterrupted periods just like breast-feeding. No ult-vent system, despite the features description. May 21, 2010

I bought this bottles based on the description, however this was copied from other MAM bottles. These bottles DO NOT have the Ult-vent system, and therefore it is NOT anti-colic. I felt like I was mislead to buy it.

im not sure if i spelled collasped that being said dont like these bottles god the nipple gets sucked in all the time my son stopped drinking milk ....although i lov mam other bottles the colic ones r great and my son takes thsee nipple great i breast feed as well so no confusion from the begining i would recommend breastfeeding moms the other mam bottles dont waste money on these coz i wasted 50 bucks on these ....y bcoz i didnt wana wash so many pieces of the colic ones well guess what i ended up going back to useing those hope this review helps....

These bottles have a solid bottom and are thinner than the anti-colic bottles. My breastfed daughter refused all nipples other than the Mam ones. We started with the 5 oz anti-colic vented base bottles, but the multiple parts can be easy to misalign leading to leaks. The vented bottles are also much thicker making it hard to warm in hot water. It would be nice if the description were correct so I wouldn't have had to wonder if I was getting the bottles I wanted.

After trying several different brands, I would definately recomomend MAM bottles. With the cap, there are 6 parts that are quick to assemble and they are not so small as to get lost easily. What I love the most is you can remove the bottom pieces and the opening is large enough to clean without having to use a special brush. Baby can hold these comfortably and the nipple shape is great too.

When your breastfeeding baby won't take any bottle try this!!! They will love it!! No clue why!! All of my friends have tried this as a last stitch effort and wish we would have tried sooner!! We love them! Anti colic and not!
