A real crib-saver =) Sep 13, 2008
By Al Why oh why didn't I get this before my son started teething on his beautiful, expensive crib? Unfortunately, I waited 3 weeks after he first started chewing on the crib (as it was sporadic). The cover is easy to install, and so far my 13 month hasn't even tried to remove it. I highly recommend anyone with a convertible crib purchase this and install it before their infant is able to pull themselves up to a standing position.

My child takes it off his crib Aug 28, 2009
By Rachael L. Friesen I got this teether guard because I have a convertible crib and liked the look of it. My son is 12 months old and has lots of teeth, so he likes to chew the crib railing when he gets mad or wants to get out. it works on and off. Somedays the teether guard is soaking wet cause he's sucked on it instead of biting the crib rail. But on other days he's managed to un-velcro the entire guard, so I constantly have to re-fasten it, ahh!

Toddlers immediately remove it! Jan 29, 2010
By Courtney A. Horner I'm giving this product two stars instead of one because it was a good idea. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. We bought this product for our 18-month-old daughter. She was immediately curious and ripped it off of the crib. The attaching velcro is on the inside of the crib when installed (so it looks nicer), but this also gives the child easy access! The color was more like a dirty white than an ivory. The fabric was stiff and felt cheap. Also, when the product was installed, it was a fraction of an inch off on all of the bed rungs except for the end two. It looked a little sloppy on our crib, although it could be a better fit with another crib. We have the Lollipop crib by AP Industries. Our crib is completely squared off on the ends and the rungs, so I thought it would be easy to fit. Bottom line: Didn't work, quickly ripped off by my daughter, looks cheap. I returned the product.

Velcro has its downsides... Sep 23, 2010
By PJ As other reviewers have said, toddlers can undo the velcro. Two possible solutions are:
1) Put the velcro tabs on the outside of the crib where the baby can't reach. This has the disadvantage that some velcro is exposed on the outside of the crib to catch on Mom and Dad's clothes when putting the baby down. 2) Use the product inside out so vecro tabs are on the inside. The downside here is that you can't use the straps that hold teethers, but for me, that's not a big deal.
The bigger deal for me is that when I lean against the crib to put down my sleeping baby, sometimes I move slightly which is enough to put a little strain on the velcro and make a noise. Not what you want after spending 30 minutes rocking the baby to sleep!!!!
This cover is large, which is great for cribs with a really fat rail. But I am going to look for a different cover that uses ties (on the outside!) rather than velcro.

Excellent product Oct 02, 2008
By S. Wisniewski Had the plastic pieces you put over the rail and my daughter figured out how to get them off within a week. She loves this (since we hang teethers for her) and it does what we needed it to do. Great product.
