Great idea....but disappointed Oct 04, 2008
By S. Hammond My husband and I were so excited when we came across this product online. We had tried the Prince Lionheart plastic cribrail covers, but were disappointed when we got them home from the store and found out that they would not fit on to our daughter's crib. I was hesitant about purchasing the Gummi Cribrail covers because I did not want to deal with a sticky residue if they did not work. So, while researching ideas on the internet we came across this fabric cover. We thought that it would be perfect...no hard plastic, no sticky strips, cloth that can be washed when needed. When we received the cloth cover, we made sure it would fit, washed it, and put it on her crib. It was perfect.....for about a week. After our daughter woke up from a nap, we heard something strange on the baby monitor. We heard this loud ripping sound and realized that she was pulling off the cover. The velcro seemed very secure, but obviously it was just a fun challenge for our 12 month girl! Once she figured it out she was able to have the whole thing off in less than one minute. I tried to put it back on several times...but eventually gave up! She's good!!! Well, we ended up trying the Gummi cover (which I was not thrilled about, but was desperate for something to work). It works great.....so far!!! Actually, we put it on over a week ago and it has remained attached and secure. It is not going anywhere!! FYI~ It took myself and my hubby to put it on straight and correctly. So far so good! If you have a curious, clever, and determined child this cloth cover is not for you!!! Go with the gummi. It's non-toxic, secure, and easy on those new little teeth!

Easy installation but padding not very thick Jan 12, 2008
By A. Tommasi di Vignano It takes litterally 10 seconds to set it on the crib. It works fine if your baby likes to nibble at the rail. Unfortunately the padding is not thick enough to actually protect head and mouth against accidental bumps.

Nice, but still doesn't fit my type of crib Oct 10, 2007

I like the idea of this considering other covers don't come close to fitting my son's sleigh bed type crib. It almost fits, but it won't go completely around the rail.

Doesn't fit most cribs Mar 03, 2008

The concept for this product is great. The crib rail cover is well constructed and easy to use. The problem is that I have a convertible crib (which a lot of people do). The crib rail cover does not list any measurements on it so the package has to be cut open to find out that it doesn't fit. This cover will not fit my convertible crib and I'm not sure that it would fit many-- if any. I added some stretchy tabs to wrap around and hold it on since it was way to short, but who wants to go to that work when you've purchased a product. I would have been saved the hassle if they had just put the measurements of the product on the website and on the package. I would have loved it if it had fit my crib.

Better than nothing Apr 21, 2008
By L. Butler Bought this teether for crib rail because it was made of cloth and not plastic. My 7 month old ripped it off the rail in the matter of minutes by pulling on the holders for toys. I did not want to go back to just the rail so I cut off the toy holders and sewed a bit here and there to secure the velcro. He has not been able to yank it off since!
