Beware-NOT Organic Nov 11, 2010
By EricaJ527 I chose the Lambs and Ivy Habitat bedding set because it was advertised as being organic. When I received the set, I was very disappointed to discover that it is not organic whatsoever. I first became suspicious because on the actual packaging of the bedding, it is described as 100% Natural Cotton, not organic. When I opened it and looked at the materials tag, I found out that it is Made in China of 100% Cotton. How is this organic? Plus, the filling is 100% polyester, which is clearly not an organic material. Customers should be wary of misleading advertising related to organic products. Companies are realizing that many consumers are looking for ways to be green and they are taking advantage of this tendency. I feel this product is an example of deceptive marketing practices. Many people choosing organic products are doing so because they care about the health and well-being of their families. They also most likely have an interest in environmental sustainability. If you are choosing this product because it is organic, please look for something else. I gave one star because the bedding is cute and I suppose if you're not actually interested in whether it's organic, you may like it. I did attempt to contact Lambs and Ivy directly with my concerns. They claimed they needed to speak with their "production team" and would get back to me. They never did.

Spoke with VP of sales regarding organic issue Feb 16, 2011
By Jayme I have this item on my baby registry on Amazon. After reading the other reviews, I was a little hesitant to get the bedding since no one could confirm it as organic. After about a month of trying to contact Lambs and Ivy, I finally spoke with the VP of sales there who informed me that the bedding set is made of all natural cotton and materials, free of harmful dyes and any pesticides. It is organic, but for whatever reason, they don't stamp it organic at the factory. Their website does not claim the bedding set is organic, but Amazon does and she said she would get that changed. She kindly offered to send me a free blanket from the Habitat line and spoke very cordially to me. I was very impressed with her customer service (once I finally got ahold of her). I plan to leave it on my registry and use the bedding. I have already received the habitat hamper as a gift and it is just precious. Just thought I would share this helpful info for any others interested but unsure, it is safe for your baby, just not stamped that way. (Kind of like the fruit you see at the farmers' market that says pesticide free but is not stamped organic)

Perfect bedding! Oct 14, 2010
By samiam I knew I loved this set from the picture but it's even better in person. I like that there are a mixture of animals instead of being strictly a jungle theme. I was pleased that their is more yellow in the set than I could see from the online picture since our main colors are blue and yellow. I definitely recommend this to anyone! And the fact that it's organic is an added bonus.

Deceptive marketing by Lambs and Ivy Jan 14, 2011
By J. Osborne I wish I saw the other review before I purchased this item from a different website. I originally purchased this product based on it being organic cotton. However, it is NOT made of organic cotton. Lambs and Ivy's has provided a false description to all retailers. Their description also says "...perfect choice for today's environmentally conscious family" - nothing makes this product any better than any other non-organic bedding. Lambs and Ivy goes further on the product packaging claiming this is made from natural cotton (a meaningless claim - all cotton is natural) the packaging also says "organic baby" in big letters on the front - again NOTHING organic about this product. I wrote Lambs and Ivy and questioned them about their deceptive marketing, twice. Never received a response... My money will not support companies that intentionally deceive their customers - hopefully yours won't either.
Would Prefer To Buy Ala Carte Dec 13, 2011

I love the look and feel of this blanket, but was not able to find it sold individually. So to get the blanket, I had to order the entire four piece bedding set. Most of which I am not able to use because of course you can no longer use bumpers and since I am having twins I need two dust ruffles and two sheets and now only have one of each. I called Lambs and Ivy and they said they are not sold separately which is really a disservice. I do love the blanket and am happy with the product, but find the other pieces wasteful and would prefer to buy each piece on its own.
