Amazon requires that I give a star to this product, but I'd rather say it earns 0 stars. I registered for and received this pad as a gift and when it arrived, we found that the cotton padding underneath the outside cover was all bunched and unevenly applied. So we requested a replacement and sent it back. We received the replacement very promptly (good job Amazon!!!), but the new one had the same exact problem, though in a different spot on the pad--a big wad of unevenly placed cotton batting. What's more, the batting was spray glued down, so it couldn't be shifted to smooth it out. And for an organic product, it had a terrible chemical smell to it. I absolutely would not recommend this product. It is shoddily made and use of petrochemicals in putting it together defeats the purpose of making an organic product.

 HUGE Pad, can never find covers that fit Mar 30, 2011

My only complaint with this pad is that I can't find covers that fit, and when my baby has peed during a diaper change, it soaks into the pad because it doesn't have a waterproof outer layer. I would probably not get this one if I had to do it over. It is very nice and thick though if that is what you are looking for. I Cloth diaper my baby so I found that laying a prefold under her during changes prevented a lot of leaks.

I did not even open the bag since I saw that the product was tearing at the seam.
The cover also looks different.
I am returning this to Amazon.com for a refund.

when it first came it had a ton of packaging and was wrapped in plastic, so it had a bad plastic smell. I let it air out over night and it was fine after that. I like the shape and it is really nice and firm. It also has a nice high rim around it. It is not flimsy at all like the old serta organic one I had that fell apart in lass then a year of mild use. The serta has a plastic shell which tears and this one has a waterproof fabric which is much nicer.
