 Fell apart on the first wash Jul 25, 2011

I couldn't find a hooded baby towel in store that was large and fluffy so I extended my search online. This seemed to have great reviews so I ordered it. The edge material unraveled on the first wash, before my son even got to use it. I was WAY smaller than I thought it was going to be and it isn't very soft. On the second wash it fell apart so badly that it was unusable. Don't waste your money.

I love this towel...except the part where it fell apart before even using it. I washed this in cold water on gentle cycle prior to using (I'm still pregnant, just preparing all of baby's things by washing before putting away). Unfortunately, just washing it alone (not even drying!) made the trim separate from the towel itself, on the hood portion of the towel. It's sooo thick and deliciously scrumptuous that I thought for sure that the quality of this product would be fabulous. Nope,just cheaply constructed. Bummer since I love this print, too. I might buy another one at some point, assuming that this was a one-time thing rather than the norm for this product. But for now, I'm off to purchase a different towel for our Little Guy. I'm hoping to find something as scrumptuously soft and thick as this one was, but with quality construction to last us through at least 6 mos. of toweling off!

I love the pattern, I'm a fan of birds, and it does it's job as a towel, it dries my so off well and is big enough that I can wrap him up in it (he's 5 weeks old). I was really disappointed in it though. In it first washing the brown lining around the hood frayed and came undone. I hadn't even used it yet just the first wash, it makes me not was to wash it often because I'm scared it will just fall apart.

Washed these towels once before I was going to use them. They faded & pilled so badly I'm returning them. I also received some skip hop towels at my baby shower & those have washed up wonderful!

We received two hooded towels when our child was born: this one and a TL Care organic hooded towel. We much preferred this one over the TL Care one, which was okay but a little thin and scratchy in comparison. This one is great - fluffy and soft, exactly what it's supposed to be. Cute design too. Could be thicker and fluffier, I suppose, but we're quite happy with it. We're only sad that it's starting to get a little small for our 5 month old. Wish they made this in toddler sizes too!
We've used this towel for 5 months (and machine-washed and dried it multiple times) and have not experienced any problems with the stitching coming unraveled or anything like that.
