Excellent shape sorter! Dec 28, 2006
By teaching toddlers We purchased this sorter for a 1 year old and her sister who is 3. Both children
were immediatly interested in all this shape sorter has to offer. It's brightly
colored parts, stackable shapes, tail that twists to make the belly turn, the
flapping ears and the trunk that shoots out the shapes are very enjoyable to play
with. Highly recommended!

Beware of pinched fingers Oct 11, 2007
By jennifer My 16 mo old loves this shape sorter. However, when we first started playing with it, four months ago, she repeatedly pinched her fingers in the rotating body. Maybe it's not an issue for older kids, and they do recommend it for 12+ months. Just keep in mind it can be very painful for younger children.

loves it Jan 11, 2007

my 8 mo. old loves this toy. It's a big, blue elephant that makes noise when you spin his tummy or his tail. The shapes are big & colorful and they tumble out when you press his trunk or ears. She just loves it and I think it's the cutest shape sorter I've seen. It's just not very compact, but it is very cute.

Kids love it Sep 18, 2010
By B. Hix The kids love this toy. They play with it often. The one thing I would change about it though is when the kids are turning the handle to spin the body around it makes a clicking sound and that clicking sounds gets old fast when you hear it for 20 minutes straight. The kids really do enjoy putting the shapes into the correct holes though.

temperamental sorter Apr 11, 2010
By Gail This sorter has shapes that are a precise fit making it more difficult to line up with their respective holes. The shapes have to be put in from the top of the drum because the internal parts are in the way when you try to put shapes through holes at the sides. When you push down on the trunk the shapes are supposed to empty out but they sometimes get stuck. A fun concept but frustrating for my 11 month old.
