cute and great protection Jul 18, 2011
By Books for Life The Imse Vimse diaper covers are wonderful. Our son has "major blow outs" when his system decides to let go. All but the worst are contained by this cover as long as we can change him fairly soon after his release. As they are not plastic, if you leave them too long, the water portion of the poop will soak through but that only indicates that they are breathable. We do have to change them fairly often as they tend to show spotty areas of soak through when he wets his diapers but rarely does that translate to wet clothes. We see it as a reliable method to indicate a diaper change is required. They fit well around his skinny legs and are easy on and off. Other brands do not seem to be as versatile for their fit. He does not get a rash or show lines on his skin due to over zealous elastic banding. They clean up very well, we have not had a stained one yet.
We have purchased the Magic Dragon, Kiss the Frog, Jungle and Farm. All are adorable so if we are out and we run out of outfits to change him into, he still looks smart in his diaper and cover. We have ordered them for all our expectant friends and told everyone else we know about them.

Love these diaper covers! Feb 11, 2011

Wonderful diaper covers!
These covers have worked very well for us over the last 6 months... they hold up well to every day washing (everyday!) and the Velcro still sticks like new!
As to whether or not the Velcro scratched... the key is to make sure the cover is large enough for your baby. On the occasion that we have to resort to using a too small sized cover (while other covers are in the wash) the Velcro does rub on his thigh creating a small red patch. When he is wearing the correct size, they never scratch him.
My only complaint is that the lining of the diapers is made of polyester. They are not 100% organic cotton... the outside is the cover is but the lining is not.

Best cover for longer use Feb 07, 2011
By SunShine I have atleast one diaper cover in all the popular brands. I've been cloth diapering for 6 months now and these covers are my favorite non-wool covers. I really liked Thirsties in the beginning, but didn't like that I couldn't use them with my nighttime hemp prefolds because they wouldn't be able to cover the extra bulk. Imse Vimse's do run big, but they will fit pretty much any prefold you use them with. Also, because of the large velcro tab in the front, it's very versatile with the shape of your baby. You can really have the leg gussets fit perfectly for your baby because you can place the tabs anywhere in the front. My husband always says Imse Vimses are his favorite diaper covers to put on our baby and he never has an opinion about things like this. These also hold up very well. Because I use these the most frequently, they are almost always the covers that get the poopy blowouts, but the Imse Vimses always contain them. I haven't noticed any wearing out of the PUL and they're all still going strong even though they get washed the most out of all my different covers. Although I wasn't able to use the newborn cover I purchased in these until my daughter was 9lbs, I only stopped using the newborn size when she got to 14lbs. I've purchased these in newborn, small, and medium in every print and also the wool ones. I absolutely LOVE these. If you want to get more use out of them, do not dry them in the dryer. That does wear out the PUL faster.

Great diaper cover! Oct 28, 2010

When I told my husband that we were going to use cloth diapers, he was terrified! He was certain that the whole process would be complicated and messy.
But then, I showed him this diaper cover and how it's used and now there's no going back!
This cover is simple, adorable, and durable. We've been using ours (we own 4, you will want that many or more) for 2 months now and they are still just as great as ever... no shrinking, fading, or wear showing. The Velcro is still as strong as ever, too.
My worry when purchasing these covers was that the Velcro was going to scratch my son. Thankfully, the Velcro tabs are pretty soft and the very soft front panel is large enough that the tabs never even touch his skin.
We use them with organic pre-fold diapers and skip the Snappy... we just put the pre-fold in the cover and Velcro the cover on and away we go! Never had a leak!
I would recommend these covers to anyone! :)

Best Cover we have used. Jun 16, 2010
By A. Mcnaul We have used a few different covers and these by far are my favorite covers. I love how soft they are, they wash up beautiful The fit on these is by far the BEST, the Velcro doesn't have a small area to attach to, it goes anywhere on the front you place it giving it that extra hold and fit. We have used Wonderwraps, Bummis, Thirties and Swaddlebees.
