Great for newborn Oct 30, 2010
By Ada We purchased two bags of newborn, 7th generation and Huggies pure & natural just to see which would be better before the baby arrived. Compared to 7th generation, Huggies P&N is softer, fit our 6lb baby better, and cord cut out is more accurate and spacious. The pull tabs are smaller to avoid skin contact (unlike 7th gen, which are pretty much full size) You can tell much more thoughts and experience went into Huggies' design. I guess this is the different between a pure diaper company vs "Generic Green" product company. From our experiences, both diapers absorbed well and have no leakage.
We also got some pampers swaddlers from our hospital. To be honest, they fit our LO the best. However, we had one leakage on them and we just can't stand the fragrance. We stacked them with 7th gen, and the next day, the 7th gen started to smell like pampers! That's how strong the stuff is! I sure don't want that on our newborn, 24x7! We still have an unopen pack sitting there for backup.
I didn't give 5 stars because I think they could be cheaper. Two things are not necessary on the diapers and I believe they just add cost (probably passed down to customers) One is the organic cotton. They are used in outer shell only, which means they never touch baby's skin, so what's the point? I rather see Chlorine free than Organic cotton outer shell. The other is the Winnie the pooh characters. Cute but totally not necessary, they are "swaddle" out anyways, only time you see them is when you change diapers... and I'm sure Huggies pay tons of license fee to Disney. I rather see generic design like pampers or no design like 7th gen.... and pass the savings to customers instead of passing the cost.

Best Diapers on the Market Feb 28, 2011
By Paul E. Higginbotham I used to only use Pampers but they went to Dry Max and ruined the product, luckily we found these diapers and have been using them from size 2 to now size 5. They work really well, have far less chemicals in them and do not give my daughter any rash. I would highly recommend these to anyone who has a child with sensitive skin.

Price increases baffling Sep 29, 2011
By WhiteBoxerDog I really like these diapers, they are soft, don't smell and the size 3 still has wetness indicator. But the price has increased every month I've been subscribed. The last increase by a whopping $4. This seems crazy. I'll have to look for another product, perhaps elsewhere.

Amount of Organic Cotton used is PROPRIETARY Information! Feb 26, 2012
By Heather My daughter has very sensitive skin. I bought these due to the positive reviews and found that it made her worse. I called and asked them about the organic cotton in the lining - I wanted to know specifically how much organic cotton their was and who was it certified by. It took forever for her to get back with me and she said that information was proprietary and they wouldn't give it out to just anyone, but it is certified by the government - the USDA. This upset me that she would use such a tone and say "We don't give that out to just anyone!", as this just anyone was trusting these diapers to cover her daughters most sensitive parts and should be allowed to know what's in them - especially since she was getting such bad rashes! She was pretty miffed that I would question about the organic. The law states that a label can claim its made with something as long as it has one percent of what they are claiming in it. I thanked the lady saying that obviously this was just a sales gimmick and that I won't be buying again, she was so flustered she barely said thanks for calling. I can tell you these diaper are not natural based off of my daughters reaction, their smell, and the way they ball up into little lint pieces if she runs around in a wet diaper for any length of time. She is two years old and very verbal, tells me when she is wet and will take them off herself if I make her wait too long. After a couple weeks she started refusing to wear them at all.
After wasting my money on this scam I switched back to Kroger's All Natural Comforts, which are plant based, chlorine free, and about 1/3 of the cost. Combining that with Tushies wipes and she couldn't be happier. Her rashes are completely gone. I am very glad to have the nightmare over. We have been switching back and forth between different drapers and wipes for over a year now trying to stop her rashes. After finding a good wipe and going back to the original diaper our problems are over!

LOVE these diapers! Aug 02, 2011

"book and cook"
I was using Pampers Swaddlers for my little one until he reached size 3 and when he peed it started to smell like chemicals and not urine. I tried these because they were on sale in Target and loved them, but saw that the Little Movers were less expensive. I bought those and didn't like the feel of them, so I re-subscribed to the Pure and Natural (only $.03 more per diaper with subscribe and save and amazon Mom discount!). Both were fine with absorbancy and there is no chemical smell with the Huggies. I do notice crystals sometimes, but only if he goes longer than two hours without a change, which is rare in my house. The Pampers had HUGE clumps of gel. I use Huggies Overnights during the night time and love those too. Very satisfied with the switch.
